Flowering yet, or still just preflower?

These girls started showing preflowers a month and a half ago, and they kinda stopped growing for a while. Then they took off and started growing like crazy, faster than they've ever grown, and they've been doing that for a few weeks now. I assumed that this was the stretch I've heard about at the beginning of flower, but I'm still not seeing anything that looks to me like actual flowers. They have pistils coming out everywhere, but they're still only coming out in twos.

So I thought I'd ask here - do they look like they've started flowering, or are these still just preflowers? If this growth spurt is the stretch, how long do you think until actual flowers start showing? I hope they do their thing soon, because I'm out of room.

I tried to get a decent picture of them while standing in the greenhouse, but you can't really see much. It's getting way too bushy in there.

i could be wrong here because i always grow indoors and force light schedule as necessary but without 12/12 i dont think they will produce buds. but like i said i could be wrong , but from my understanding thats how it works.

I didn't think outdoor actually needs 12/12, but I also could be wrong.

I can confirm (with first hand proof) that this is not true. Outdoors all that matters is if days are getting longer or shorter. This is one of my outdoor plants from a couple days ago, bunch of them started flowering just after the solstice, and we still have 15 hours of daylight right now.

^^^ Exactamundo What Ace wrote! Your plant(s) is starting to flower. The pre-flowers you saw 6 - 8 weeks ago, were just signs of sex when the plant(s) reached maturity. This is the real thing and as stated, Mother Nature will take care of the lights. By the time light gets down to 12/12 here (9/25), I hope to be 3 weeks, or less from harvest :weed:

Lookin' Good and Good Luck :peace:

It's pretty obvious when they flower. They'll like, grow these flowers and shit.

That's what I'm afraid of. Not the yield, but how big they're going to get. I was really hoping that they were already well into the stretch since they stopped growing for a while and then took off again. I'm kinda stressing trying to figure out what to do with them. It's not easy trying to stealth grow in my back yard when the plants are 7 - 8 feet tall.

One more question - should I switch over to bloom nutes now, or should I wait until actual flowers start forming?
