yea it will easily double or triple in size when ya switch it to flowering, and it'll show the sex about 2 weeks after the switch. i dont cut down males until im 110% sure of the gender (another week later perhaps)

Removing the fan leaves take's away from te feeding source of the branch it is supporting.
It stresses the plant out or stuns it as it was put. I only remove the one's that are turning yellow at the bottom of the plant.
At this point they have out-lived their purpose. As much as we have tried, we can't hurry nature.
Take your time and do it right. There is so much information on the internet these days I can even grow. LOL
Right now I'm battling spider-mites with neem oil extract. I treated them for the first time yesterday.
Damn things are a real pain in the ass. I looked lastnight and found a couple still alive so I'm going to treat them again.
I've been medicating with MMJ since 1973, back then the rule of thumb was if a seedling has branch's straight across from each other it's a male.
If the branches alternate then it's a female. Like I said, rule of thumb. My opinion is just that, only my opinion.
Keepin' it Green :-)

I agree with everything you said except "if a seedling has branch's straight across from each other it's a male."
every seedling has branchs straight across from each other when its "immature".
