Flowering

Hi all,

I have read up on this and i am no where near the flowering stage BUT i wanted to clear it up so i can just get on with it. To start flowering do i stick it in 48hrs of dark before switching to 12/12? Also what nute ratio is best for flowering?

Kindest regards and cheers in advance ;)

No do not do that. Just set the timer to 12/12 the day you decide to do it. Use Grow nutes the first few weeks of flowering. Only go to Bloom nutes after 3 weeks or so. Make sure you have your "trace" minerals available - calcium, magnesium, copper etc. Cal Mag is suggested.

I think if you force the flowering stage too soon it could dramatically effect the yield of the plant, but if that is not a concern for you we put ours in flowering by just switching to 12/12 and added phosphorus + to the nuts mix. I was reading somewhere that the plants should go into a 48 hour darkness right before harvesting. I guess it intensifies the resigns if I am understanding correctly. Best of luck!!

you can go 12/12 from seed, and you can go all the way to the end of flower on veg nutes.....what you give your plants is up to you but you don't wanna be going over 1.8/2.0 EC

Thank you all for your help and advice. I actually read that it can be done from seed but didnt know if they were telling pork pies LOL. Thanks for the luck cjewelzc as i think im gonna need it was a bad idea using soil :'( LOL. Will update in her when i flower to show you the progress :). The 48 hr thing before switching i have also read that somewhere BUT i think it depends on what setup and lights you are using. Nt too sure on that so cant really say. :) :)

In my opinion soil; not a mistake. Soil is much easier to control than hydroponic systems (at least from what I have read and seen online). There is a little more room for error with soil. Why do you think soil is a bad I idea, if I may. WHat kind of set up are you using?
