Flowertabs

I just made a rubbermaid grow box, foil taped the inside used to computer fans for passive intake and outtake. it's pretty sweet. CFL 6 23 watt natural daylight lights. So I just want to know will I need more nutes, I got the ultimate growing kit from nirvana. Waiting on my seeds and I want to be all prepared when they come. I know I won' t need em yet tho.

I like that idea. Pretty sweet. How much hotter then ambient when its all together and running? Also, I would just do two plants in there...it's gonna get tight...My space is cram packed full with 6 plants...should have gone with less...it would be so much easier to manage...

im guessing this will be soil? what are you going to do for smell control?

No way for us to know if you'll need more nutes if you haven't told us what nutes you have to begin with, or what soil you plan on using.

I just finished it like an hour ago, I don't have a thermostat yet so i can't tell you how hot it is. I'm planning on using auto flowering plants, trying to make this as easy as possible. It's my first grow so I don't know what I'm doing at all.

I don't know the answer to either one of your questions I'm not using any nutes I haven't even gotten the seeds yet I just want to be prepared and I have for now some potting soil from lowes is that good enough? any help is appreciated.

For smell control I have a ozone air purifier coming in, If that doesn't work Ill make a small carbon scrubber I guess.

i am in the middle of dealing with alot of smell issues....this is my first true time growing as well... dont play around when it comes to a scrubber...either buy a good one right off...or be prepared to... the ozone helps my grow...but i still get some smell because when it is off i have a crap filter that lets some smell out..

I also don't have any windows...(in basement) so i need 100% smell control..if you only need like 80% smell control then the ozone should be good. just keep the window cracked.

also, you will def want nutes...i stick with flora nova...because all my friends use it...but i have never used anything else.

make sure your soil doesnt have time release nutes in it... this will just screw with you in the future when trying to get ur nutes in check. I would also add some vermiculite/perlite to the mix to hold the moisture better. Your gonna be watering alot in such a small cab, so holding the moisture in will help.

since ur running soil...go with no nutes from seed - 2 weeks of veg (maybe more). the plant will start to explode around the 2-3 week time... this is when i start nutes (start them weak (like 25% of what it tells you on the bottle)). build up from there... i didnt hit 100% usage of my nutes until 2 months in.. but im running hydro and leds.


As far as ur temps...i played with cfl for a while and they just were to hot for me. so make sure you get a good balance of light/heat/smell... worry about the heat for now...perfect temps (70-80 ish) will make for happy plants. Then worry about ur light... you might want to get stronger bulbs (but i have never done a full grow before, but my cousins cfl grows suffered badly from heat and not enough light).

Yea I got a window it's going to be by to get some fresh air...I really don't care about smell though but we'll see when the time comes, I'll def be posting pics. I was planning on using these flowertabs from nirvanashop. I just need to know will I need more nutes besides that tab. I don't want to over nute it, and ruin the plant...and my lights wont be close that to the plants. Will that hurt it?

never hear of the tabs before...so idk.

and you will want to bring the plants to the light if you can't adjust the lights. use a box or cd cases to hold the pots higher until the plant gets taller.
