Fluffy vs Dense bud?

I prefer more dense buds myself. I've been growing some Barney's Farm LSD the last few months and that was unbelievably airy. Never seen anything like it, I thought there was something wrong with it. But no, it must be the strain. I had several plants from seed grow the same way. The colas were really big but kinda like individual ropes of calyxes, really strange. I think I put some pictures of it up someplace, I'll look.

Here's a couple shots of the LSD. Doesn't really show in the pic just how airy it was. Damn that is potent weed though. Sticky as hell even after weeks of cure. A slight squeeze of a bag of weed makes one big bud lol. Another thing I like about it is how little trimming there is. A few fan leaves and you're pretty much done. To show that I am including a full size pic of an LSD. I swear I have not done any trimming on this plant, although some fan leaves have already fallen off. That one branch got too close to the light.

thanks for posting those pics. either way that still looks like some good shit. the hairs still look pretty white maybe you harvested to early and didn't give the buds time to fill out. but like I said either way still looks bomb

yeah well I think that plant was at about 11 or 12 weeks. I let one go even longer and all it did is start dying. It is great weed, probably the most potent I've grown yet. Really strange pheno though. The colas all also have this little "horn" of a bud that grows out the top. Kinda funny looking. You can see a little of that in the full size pic. They all had it though.

Yeah tet, my lsd's were the same, airy and potent. They grow slowly too. But the high is so good I'm keeping it in my mix.

I've done 2-3 cycles of the LSD and I have two seeds left. I really want to try some others though, I got a heck of a variety of seeds built up :) I did just cut a few clones to do the colloidal silver thing, get a bunch of seeds to put away. If you haven't heard of it, it's one of the methods used by breeders to create feminized seeds, and all you need to do it is a female clone.

how much did you yeild dry off of that plant?

i personally dont care. dense huge colas have a lot of eye and bag appeal. so i give ppl wut they want.
when i was a kid i used to sell candy in grade school. chocolate covered pretzels for like a penny a piece. but no one wanted the crumbs so i would eat them. then i figured i could make crumbs and eat them too. lol. i was a dumb kid. i still had to pay for the box

i read somewhere that giving your lady less water through medium to late flower will make your buds dense, anyone know anything about this and has anyone (if true) have experience in this technique, hopefully this will solve the fluffy bud syndrome

never heard of it. all I've heard of was lighting distance making a difference. and maybe genetics. but could be. should experiment with it.

I would have imagined this would have been a 1 answer question.

Dense over fluffy anyday of the week.

With dense buds less is more kinda.

I guess fluffy would be great for selling as they usually look so thick.

Where as my dense buds are usually small , but like marbles .

I agree fluffy more appealing for bags. thats why people like fluffy. and honestly im cocked right now. figured id be be honest. lol
