The purpose of Flushing is to wash away accumulated Nutrient Salts.

Therefore flushing is exclusive to Chemically derived fertilizers.

with organics you really dont have to flush during the season to remove excess salt buildup. but flushing the last week or two will give you better tasting herb and smoother too.

There isn't anything to flush with organics. It's not like inorg ferts that leave salts and are still present until sucked up by the plant.

information may say what it will but i know first hand that flushing WILL help if a plant has a soil to hot for it's liking, really all it does is slow your micro herd from chelating everything so fast for awhile. they will be back to beast mode in no time tho so if your getting nutrient lock out because of a hot soil then a transplant is a must, even if you have to chop the root ball and plant back in the same container just use fresh potting soil. Iv,e also seen a difference in the plants that i water to runoff, they grow faster and more vigorous then the plants that DONT get runoff, this also helps with keeping the N low and not letting my Blue mountain organic Flower power and molasses build up. If you dont use super soil and your running a organic tea or nutrient during flower, then a flush here an there of about 3 times 1 fourth the container size will really help. and a way of skipping the end flush is to cut of the plant at the stock an stick it in a bucket with a air stone n pump under the lights for a couple days, this really works wonders on taste..

hope this helps,

Why would flushing organic soil make the bud better tasting? This is hogwash in my opinion.Mother Nature doesn't flush and neither will I.

Organic and chemical fertilizers both contain nutrient salts. The difference is where the nutrients are derived. Eventually, the plant makes the nutrient an isolated substance, meaning that a buildup can occur in both organic and chemical fertilizers. If you consider flushing useful, it makes no difference what type of fertilizer you used.

What is your opinions on flushing or even just watering with tap water from the faucet, or garden hose?
Organic or no?

:peace:
Most tap water contains Chlorine and Fluoride. The chlorine will evaporate after 24 hours. However, it is near impossible to remove fluoride from the water, it takes complex filtration systems. Boiling will only concentrate it more. I don't recommend using tap water.

what are you talking about? when its time to harvest marijuana outdoors is when it starts raining, IE mother natures flushing.

besides that though, pot grown naturally without the help of man is usually pretty schwaggy, I want sensimilla, not ditchweed.

I like how you tell him he's wrong and they you grow bomb shit outside, yet he only said it was schwag when people didn't help it along. Obviously if you're doing the growing, you don't fall under his statement.

And yeah... mother nature doesn't flush:confused:. Can anyone say rain???

You should flush no matter what until it eats at itself a little, because if you have all that green in the leaves its not going to be as pleasant
