So it’s my first grow I’m growing og kush autos, the pistols look awesome and milky, they’ve had their time and I’ve been flushing 3 days but the pistols aren’t turning darker have I started flushing to soon?
can I harvest milky pistols?
am I over thinking this?

You may not be over thinking, but may be wrong thinking if you expect your buds to mature properly if you're giving them nothing but "pure water." The flush is to remove residual salts in the SOIL, thus enabling the plant to easily uptake bloom nutrients, mature and stack on weight before harvest. Feed, don't starve, coming down to the finish line.

of course its neceassary .. except if you feed the exact perfect amounts .. there alway be some residues ..
but again not starving the plant.. must stay perfectly healthy .. in soil if you feed light 10 days of pure water can be enough even if i prefer a week more .. this makes only 3 or 4 waterings .. to dilute the remaining nutrients in the medium allowing the plant to finish properly ..
but its my opinion, i tried with and without several times, for me no doubt ..

Might be confused about some things. Pistils are the visible hairs on the plant. Milky or amber would refer to the trichomes, which are the glands containing cannabanoids, terps, etc. All the pistils or hairs should be brown/rust colored before flushing for harvest. Are you looking at trichomes with a microscope or are you looking at pistils with the naked eye. Anyone that commented and failed to mention any of this should withhold further comments.
