I just use plain tap water onlt starting at about 10 days before chopping.
The flushing agents are a waste. If you want to use one though, I would say most do the same thing.

I have about reached the conclusion that with organic nutes it dont need flushing at all. If your using non organic I think about once a week with Clearex would be just what the doctor ordered. Since moving over to non-organic I notice some white powder in the bottom of the water jugs. Not sure what it is but doubt it be much good to let build up in the medium. The hippy at the hydro shoppe say to use it so I am. Hope this helps.

salts biuld up in organic and chem nutes, its not necessary to use clearex but its kool, thing is unused fertlizers get biult up in mediums whether clay or soil, if you use soil or soiless in containers you should flush once a month, the salt build up will throw your PH off in both hydro and soil, causing lockouts , if you run hydro just flush with plain water until you see your water ppm drop, as an example i have a drip system in a flood table, before the flush with plain water in rez at 35ppm, the drain water came out 250ppm .all my containers are embedded in clay pellets, the clay kept getting salt build up, raising my nutrient strength and giving me a constant PH flux, i put the system pump on, hose in fresh water into the rez at the same time i have another pump on to suck out the recirculating water to clear out the clay pellets, i dont think enough people on here emphasize the build up of salts in all mediums and all grow styles and the changes in the water , this can throw off a novice grower, thats why when people come on here asking for advice they get the old "whats your PH?"

all you need to do is flush once 2 weeks before harvest, then give plain water every watering until harvest. if you do not flush, agents or not, the plain water you feed the plant in the last 2 weeks will have a high content of dissolved salt, thus feeding your plant when she should only be recieving water, resulting in odd tasting finished product...clean out your medium monthly and you will always have success

I'm high so I laughed.

I use clearex and love it. Can think of several instrances where I couldn't figure out what my problem was and ran a flush with it and fixed my problem. Works great for flush before flower as well. I run it through every two weeks now in flower and it eliminates any problems that would normally arise. It also usually works within several hours so it's fairly fast as well.

cant flush aids man, its for life lol
