No I don't think so if I remember correctly the guys I knew that did hydro were using beneficial microbes, beneficial fungi, enzymes and carbohydrates.

My grandfather would slap me if he caught me flushing anything especially tomatoes. I mean marijuana isnt anything special to grow compared to tomatoes and shit, but damn i am a very experimental person. I flushed 24hrs prior i flushed 72hrs prior i did the 1/2 weeks thing and the only thing i got back was buds that dried a little quicker but lacking taste. Even 72hrs darkness before harvest didnt seem to do shit for me, though i have not lab tested shit either. I mean i try alot of shit for fun and prove alot of information wrong with my own two hands and eyes. Hell i still have a cfl flowering room just for experimental flowering that i started last year regardless of my 4000watts of hps grows. I mean i have tried alot of shit for the hell of it. Curiosity kills the cat in me everytime.

this is the last white widow x big bud i'm ever growing.......don't touch the genetics they are all beyond unacceptable i've got 10 afghan in my tent now ..all 3rd week of bloom...just perfect afghan kush, stable , solid buds and really sticky like shakira's gusset...got 27 oz from 7 of them last run

Yes even in hydro, beneficial microbes from a symbiosis with the roots. For example enzymes break down dead material into sugars, beneficial microbes eat the sugars, creating more enzymes, and this is all happening within the root zone itself.

like chuck said way back in the first page- you cant flush a living soil because the microbes in the soil are still going to eat and shit, only way that can work is if you kill off all the micros with chlorinated water- synthetics on the other hand wash off easily by just watering.
the whole flushing thing is for people that grow synthetically and have over fed the plant.. key word(overfed) its not that complicated

I disagree! Simply water the problem away. Do not pour multiple gallons of water per gallon of pot size through your plant.....Your doing more harm then good! WATER - plain or with some Ca/Mg, pHed to 6.5 for 5-7 days and the new growth will show you have fixed it....

what exactly are you disagreeing with? i dont understand your post or why you are quoting me. this thread is about the last 2 weeks of flower, your 5-7 days of just plain water aint gonna do shit to a plant that has been over fed with synthetics for 2 months.
like i said to the OP-
do what works for you as long as your customers are happy thats all that matters- do some tweaks on a few plants and compare, then you can rely on your own experience and not some one behind a keyboard who probably knows less than you

Sure, OK, Brainiac.......Your pouring way to much water through a plant will stress it even more and can cause anaerobic conditions, further harming the plant. A plant overfeed for 2 months? Is it still alive? Water away the overfeeding! .....
Now the FINAL flush is one, no THE biggest myth out there! You IMPROVE NOTHING!
Then don't flush. I promise no one will try to force you to.
