Flushing my plants.

A week? Nah.

Flush at the very end of a grow for a few days, maybe 7 days.

or if you need to rapidly remove excess nutes during the grow.

depends if your gonna use a product like clearex or final phase but i like to water one gallon then wait 15 min to let salts break down then add in 14 more

flushing will cause the nutrient makeup (measured in ppm) to abruptly change. any change that isnt gradual in life has a negative impact. the plant will be in shock for some time. just water with only water for the remainder of watering sessions. if you didnt use chemicals, you wouldnt have salt minerals and metal deposits. well, you would, but a 'normal' amount of them.

i usually only feed once in veg and once in flower with an all purpose 1-1-1 organic fert/compost. the only bad thing about compost is that it makes the soil more muddy and less airy.

For all the debate about whether to flush or not. The fact remains that there is no other way to wash out nutrients from a substrate.

Mistakes can be made when applying nutrients or additives during a grow and if this happens, you'll be wanting to remove this stuff pretty pronto.

How much water would I use to flush my plant if It's in a 5 gallon pot and how often would I flush It a week?
IMO, using a chemical flush, even IF the chenical does it's job, is going to be sucked up into the plant itself.

If you don't use chem., and just use plain water, any chemicals or whatever you think you're eliminating from the bud is still there.
Putting plain water into plant matter that is already developed?????????
Where's the 'bad stuff' going to go? Evaporate? I think not.
Again, IMO, flushing is not really doing anything.
On the other hand, flushing while you are growing, would rinse out your overfeed, or salts, or whatever from the soil so that the plant does not continue to absorb it.

this is another one of those noone can agree on. I just water regularly for the last 2 weeks with no nutes but I don't over feed either

Flushing is the act of getting enough water so the water runs or flushes the.soil.out the drain holes.into sink or yard(even.tho.chemical fert does not.belong.in.sewage system)
This.doss flush out salt buildup which is bad but.it.also.flushes out.good.microbes.

Luckily unlike salt.and minerals soil life or biota will re populate and thrive again. But this may take some time. Even.worse the soil.will be soaked and.cannabis roots hate wet soil

The plant will.resume growth when soil dries out again

If i would ever need to flush i would flush 1 gal pot with with 1.5 gallon water.

I dont have to flush because i use organics. Potting soil and compost which is full of direct food and deconposers that populate soil
