I wanted to know how people "flush" prior to harvest.
Do you flush a 10 gallon pot using 30 gallons of water like a nute burn flush ?????? if so, how many times ?
OR do you just feed straight water for the last 2/3 weeks ??????

this will be my second harvest. the first was pretty good. ill try to post a pic or 2. But seems to have a powdery aftertaste.

Beautiful plants! And I wondered the same thing - just water or actual flush? I just did water on my last harvest and they tasted fine but they were undernuted as well.

It really is more work than most people think. I was able to get 1/2 pound out of 4 x 3' plants. Is that about average ? I was pretty happy with it.:joint: They were under a 1000w lamp but i had room for more plants . I have a 2nd batch of 3 x 3' almost done now and 3rd batch of 4 x 4 &1/2' ready to go in( i expect about 3-4 oz off each of those 1's due to pure size compared to first 2 batches. And Finally i will move up to 8 plants per batch starting with the 4th batch.

What if you're growing outdoors? Is it possible to flush something in the ground? If not, could you just put cola stems in water or something for a few days?

i just did a 1:1 pot size to water flush 1 week before i am going to harvest. im going to water again in a few days until water leeches out the bottom. hopefully this will be enough to flush the plants. it will be a good support as to whether you need to flush your plants unnecessarily early

If you're using soil and chemical nutes you will have to flush 2 weeks prior to harvest.
If you're using soil and organic nutes you will have to flush 1 week prior to harvest.
If you're using hydroponics with chemical nutes, you will have to flush every two weeks.
If you're using hydroponics with organic nutes, you will have to flush one week before harvest.

Using a flushing agent, such as Advanced Nutrient's Final Flush you can affectively reduce each flushing week by a week, if it can be reduced by a week. So assuming that, you use 3-4x water per watering every other watering (based on your water schedule) with the full dose recommended flushing agent. Before the last four days, I would recommend flushing once fully with 3-4 or even 5x as much water, PH'ed of course, before you allow them to bake without any additional water before chopping.

Don't be scared of the flushing agent though, as anything that reduces the amount of time to achieve an effective flush is highly valueable as it allows an additional week of nuting. Using this knowledge and actually utilizing it, could increase yield substantially.

Even so, you could even skip the whole flushing process and continue on nuting by utilizing the newly discovered Water Cure method, indefinitely removing all remnants of taste, smell, fertilizer, and chlorophorfil.:peace:
