personally, i don't think flushing does a thing for taste or flavor, or god forbid, the color of the ash, w/e the eff that one means, lol.. but i'd rather have people expirement and find it out for themselves than to give my opinion on it..I only flush if salt buildup from nutes is hurting the plant. I've never noticed a taste difference between flushed plants and those fed up til harvest. But really, if you are in the final week or so, the buds have mostly stopped swelling and it's just a matter of ripening. I don't feed then just because I don't think they need it since they aren't actively growing, plus there is enough nutrients in the leaves to ride out the last week or two if they do need them
edit: and what racerboy said. That's what I did to find out, and it's always best to decide the route that works best for you
But do all those foods get chemical nutes pumped into em....personally the last week or two I just give straight water and double the amount given so the last two weeks I give two gallons of water instead of one to make sure everything is getting washed out....I dont do any flushimg during the grow unless major nute burn ...I feel that giving them straight tap water makes them use their last bit of energy to use up all that its got leftpersonally, i don't think flushing does a thing for taste or flavor, or god forbid, the color of the ash, w/e the eff that one means, lol.. but i'd rather have people expirement and find it out for themselves than to give my opinion on it..I only flush if salt buildup from nutes is hurting the plant. i just don't understand why people think cannabis is any different than any other plant on god's green earth, and it needs flushing when things like tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, oranges, etc, etc, etc, do not..
my $.02
sure they do, what do you think ferts like miracle grow were made for, surly not cannabis..But do all those foods get chemical nutes pumped into em....personally the last week or two I just give straight water and double the amount given so the last two weeks I give two gallons of water instead of one to make sure everything is getting washed out....I dont do any flushimg during the grow unless major nute burn ...I feel that giving them straight tap water makes them use their last bit of energy to use up all that its got left
Thanks so much.if you have more than one plant, i'd suggest flushing one and feeding the other, do a proper dry and cure on both of them, and find out for yourself m8..
My point why do.u think organic food is all the rage no chemicals ...I feel at least the last week should be flush just straight h20 dounle the regular amountsure they do, what do you think ferts like miracle grow were made for, surly not cannabis..But do all those foods get chemical nutes pumped into em....personally the last week or two I just give straight water and double the amount given so the last two weeks I give two gallons of water instead of one to make sure everything is getting washed out....I dont do any flushimg during the grow unless major nute burn ...I feel that giving them straight tap water makes them use their last bit of energy to use up all that its got left
Flushing comes up here ALL the time. Usually it ends up about as friendly as discussing politics or religion.Hi just recently completed my flush. Only to find out that some on here thinks its a wasteof time. Only a couple weeks left till i chop. Question is... should i leave em the way they are or continue to feed? Im confused on this. Thanks for your input .
Weed should be flushed. you don't smoke tomatoes, cucumber, apples, oranges, you consume them, but they aren't consumed by smoking them. marijuana is completely different than any other type of plant. I have personally tested this just this last grow. my buds that were flushed burned evenly and tasted good. while on the other hand my buds that weren't flushed had an off put taste and burned black, instead of a nice gray ash. do you're own tests, and see for you're self.
Yes.But do all those foods get chemical nutes pumped into em....

No, it just stresses the plant and lowers your yield with no improvement in taste, smell and burn.I dont do any flushimg during the grow unless major nute burn ...I feel that giving them straight tap water makes them use their last bit of energy to use up all that its got left
Because it doesn't have anything to continue growing. If u lose weight if u flush the last two weeks whyy is that if buds dnt store nutrients?
organic food is for the minorities .. hippies and hipsters (all the rage) lolMy point why do.u think organic food is all the rage no chemicals ...I feel at least the last week should be flush just straight h20 dounle the regular amount
