Thank you for a clear and consice answer! I think I'll run a little trial of my own and flush a couple of the plants but just decrease quantities on the rest. Because myplants are outdoors, and struggling for sunlight this time of year, the buds haven't reached the ideal size/density so flushing would mean even more limited growth in the final 1/ 2 weeks which I can't really afford to risk so your reply has put my worries at ease. Cheers again. You want advice from people that have done both. You’ve got it from a few and I’ll add mine.
I’ve grown 1000+ plants since I started growing in ‘05 and have done side by side flushing vs not flushing tests with identical clones grown under identical conditions. I’ve also done research on plant growth and botany outside of cannabis based literature to get real science and not hippy lore like many cannabis grow books provide.
I don’t flush. It serves no benefit to the plant or grow process. I get raves reviews from everyone that try’s my buds or even smells them coming .

This is your best option!
There will never be a actual answer to this question until the plant is taken off the schedule one list and can be studied at the national level, IMO
This topic can get very hateful, along with HID vs LED.
Sorry that this is the kind of welcome you received from your first RIU post.
There are a lot of helpful people on here, (there are also a lot of Turd-Blossoms)
Try your best to ignore the BS, and not get baited into a shit flinging show.
I know you were asking a legit question, but I will say that the search feature is your friend. If you have a question there is a good chance that it has been asked and answered before. The people on here that do actually want to help will respect the fact that you tried to find the answer yourself, and be more likely to reply.

PS.
I fade at the end of my grows.
That's a bit like saying im running a marathon so im going to chop my arms off because I want all my energy in my legs. But surely this doesn't matter at the end of the plants life anyway? Don't you want all energy to be directed towards the buds?
Crappy weed is usually the result of poor growing practicesI've tasted some crap in past I've wondered htf they can get it so bad, thb I thought it hadn't been flushed?
Personally I flush until the run off reads 0.0 it's normally 2/3 days, I don't start flushing until I consider them ready ie 65/80 days flowering then flush.
I don’t understand are you pro flush?
