The fact is it really doesn't matter if you flush or not, if you fuck up the cure your crop will be trashed.
Jr. - Flushing is a myth!I've been doing more reading and I think I am going to flush. It's a obviously a technique many growers have used to get conniseour quality buds. People are just not questioning how important it is, and what it really does for the plants. I've heard not flushing can leave too much chlorophyll to stay in the buds and cause headaches. Do you think my 177 ppm tap water will suffice?
Well, between Riddle and I. Your getting information from 2 guys that combined, Have over 83 years of actual growing experience......Go ahead - tell us to write a book! One of us has!Your going to want to flush.... Be carful who you take info from.
chlorine isn't hurting anythingIm not sure about the ppm thing....i would think dechlorinated tap water would be just fine....r/o or distilled water i would assume would be optimal......but who does that outdoors? I dont.... .
Can you post some links please for anything other than cannabis being flushed?Theres a few informative youtube videos on flushing
Yeah pretty much every thread here with flush or defoil in the topic goes this way, once you are here longer you'll see. A few of us have been here for many years and it has actually gotten better as more and more growers learn the truth. You can go check the Harvest/Cure forum and find many threads where the grower flushed but the buds did not turn out well and this is because it is indeed the dry/cure process that matters most when it comes to quality smoke. Those that do flush are mostly doing it for the fade that happens as a result of flushing, if you are growing outside your plants will fade naturally. Can you go back and quote me where I said you or anyone else was wrong? LOL No you can't. I have stated, and I will state again. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A VERY CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC. I AM A FIRST TIME GROWER IN THE NEWBIE SECTION. I NEVER EVEN SAID THAT YOU WERE WRONG I AM JUST TRYING TO HEAR BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY. HAVE A GREAT DAY B
Cigar leaf. Not cigarette tobacco. I've cut many a stick of burley. We would hang it and cure it in a barn. You did wait until it started to turn before you cut it. I got a tobacco spear in the neck drinking Little Kings and cutting tobacco.View attachment 3773802 View attachment 3773803
Harvested tobacco leaves, please note how they are lush, green and filled with chlorophyll and NOT yellow, dead and "flushed" to death...
This is why you aren't going to find any "studies" on flushing... Because it's Bullshit and a totally unessesary process.
The drying and curing process will break down the chlorophyll and starches in the leaves and create a smooth fine tobacco.Having green leaves at harvest is part of the process of having a good finished product.
Your chlorophyll argument is pretty weak and unsubstantiated.
But whatever.. Lol.

Well your brain tends to see what you want to see. So that's why it's just ancedotal. Instead of a side by side you should search for the answer to the question "what happens when I starve my plant?"I doubt it but well see.....
kinda like these new members that post a thread, already knowing the answer they want to hear... everyone else with decades of experience is just wrong...Well your brain tends to see what you want to see.
