flushing your plants

hey guys i have about a week left and have been giving my plants about 1000ml every 2-3 days. I am growing an auto strain in soil and have used organic nutes throughout the whole grow. I plan on using clearex my last week. My question is how do you correctly flush your plant? I read somewhere you have to give it 3X the amount of water your plant is planted in. (i.e., planted in 3 gallon pots have to give it 9 gallons of water). Now would i have to do this if i used clearex or can i just water it as i do normally with 1000 ml water?

Just water it in the same intervals your old watering routine was, no fertilizers, just plain good old h20.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere

When I use it I soak the soil with a mix of it then the next day after the plants have shed the extra nutes I flush them with about 2x whatever the pot size is.....

Just run 3 gallons of water through it in the tub, let all the excess water out. Do this is in two intervals of 1.5 gallons each. The first rinse will get a good amount of nutrients out and the second wash will just ensure it. Do this again for the last watering 3 days after and leave your plants to dry.
