Do you have any proof of "a hermi wont fertilize any other plant unless its the same strain"?you can let it fertilize itself to get fem seeds, the pollen from a hermi wont fertilize any other plant unless its the same strain, otherwise as soon as those pollen pods open the buds will stop growing and start producing seeds instead of flowers
just from what i have seen in past grows. if a regular male unloads into the grow area i consider it unsuitable for females for the future. as ive had problems with fertilization long after males were removed. but with hermis ive seen one plant grow seeds while other strains remain unaffected right next to them. in that instance i wouldnt grow females of a certain strains in that room at any point in the future but other strains are ok. i think it has something to do with the plants protection against inbreeding, the hermi represents a plant switched into survival mode, trying to replicate itself as fast as it can into seed form for the next season.Do you have any proof of "a hermi wont fertilize any other plant unless its the same strain"?
I'm not trying to attack you, just curious as to whether this is true or not. I was under the impression that pollen is pollen, and will fertilize any other female marijuana plant regardless of it's strain.
adapt against inbreeding? damn thats evolution like crazyjust from what i have seen in past grows. if a regular male unloads into the grow area i consider it unsuitable for females for the future. as ive had problems with fertilization long after males were removed. but with hermis ive seen one plant grow seeds while other strains remain unaffected right next to them. in that instance i wouldnt grow females of a certain strains in that room at any point in the future but other strains are ok. i think it has something to do with the plants protection against inbreeding, the hermi represents a plant switched into survival mode, trying to replicate itself as fast as it can into seed form for the next season.
