foil on walls?

I am in the process of building a growroom and I see that a LOT of people put foil on the walls to help reflect light. I've read that foil actually isnt very good and white paint is even better... I also have heard that the white mylar stuff is pretty much unanimously accepted as the best thing to put on the walls, but I figured I would ask some opinions... Thanks!

Some of those foil products do work, but it some situations it can actually intensify the light into a tiny area, possibly burning the leaves. You know, kinda like how you would burn ants with a magnifying glass as a kid haha.

White FTW!

well mylar reflects something like 98% of visible and uv light. where foil (The non shiny side) reflects around 87-94% of light. white walls are just easier but only reflect like 80% so do what you wish, if using foil take TGB's advice and realize that you could be creating a hot spot, so keep your foil smooth.
