foliar feeding....how often, how long???

There is no need to foliar spray any plant unless its a quick fix for a deficiency or you are fighting bugs. I don't even spray cuttings when cloning. Just adding a lot of unneeded moisture to the air and if the plants have healthy roots they can take up more nutrients than they can use thru the roots. That how they get nute burn most times so why add to the load? Also increases the odds that you'll end up with a fungal disease or the dreaded powdery mildew.

And to the guy who claims that fading leaves are stealing nutrients and energy from the plant it's the other way around. They are fading because the plant is stealing mobile nutrients from them as it should be doing as it nears the end of it's life. If everything is still dark green to the bottom at chopping time it just means your plants have too much food in them and you'll be smoking it later. If the yellowing leaves are going all dry and crispy then it's probably toxic salts buildup that's killing them as natural yellowing in later flower the leaves are soft and supple before they dry up and fall off the plant.

Ever find out what the science/theory was behind the 24 on 24 off 10 on 24 off cycle??
First off. This is an 8 year old thread.....None of these yahoo's are still around...

As for the inane light manipulation. The guy is stressing the plant out by "confusing" it to make the hormone's flip back and forth from veg to bloom. It will produce a shorter plant with more branching and tighter internodal spacing.......The stress he's been giving the plant,,,,Is not a good thing for the plant. Not at all. This could lead to increased herming possibilities in bloom....If it got more stress while in bloom...Those possibilities increase even more. That's why we top plants - more mains and better budding then what this guy did...

Sometimes I'll take a plant out to my deck to bloom. I'll have started the bloom lighting cycle for about 5 days before putting it out. I put it out while it's still got about 2 weeks or so left before natural lighting bloom take hold. The plant stops the bloom and tries to begin to go back to veg. About the time it gets back to veg smooth like. The natural lighting makes it go into bloom....This lag time, or "revegging" time shortens the plant and makes the node spacing real tight.....I'll get real long buds! As compared to "normal" mains with defined bud or node separation, other then the end 5-10 inch's...

This is a one time variation on what he was doing....
