After searching for a couple days for the best battery powered water pump i found this one, Water Pump

Uses three D batteries pumps 200 GPH, 757 litre's For $ 41.50.

Personally i think this is a steal, and will save major pain and agony carrying big ass jugs to your spot. Ordered two of these son bitches as i plan to run one from my water source to hidden REZ kept by my grow then i can PH,treat the water and add nutrients in the REZ before moving it to my grow location to actually water my plants.

That's vertical though. After I read up a little on that pump I noticed it had a self siphoning function, so once the water starts flowing, it kinda runs off of a vacuum inside the line to continue pumping. Give it a shot I'd say

regardless gravity will move the water as my water source is more elevated then my grow spot 200 GPH for a battery powered pump is pretty darn good, ill update you guys and let you know how it works when i get them in

Fucking nice, Mr. Pyrex. You read my mind, I was just about to start a thread about this....How many plants do you think 1 of these would water? Also can you explain how to make a res and hook this up to it and all that stuff? I want to do the exact same thing but I have no idea how to do it.

You rock Mr. Pyrex! I have a beautiful pond inconveniently 50 feet away. So perfect... yet so far... def update on how many plants you can take care of with that.

lol gotta get a early start to the season if you wanna be happy at the end :blsmoke:. Im not sure about how many plants im gonna have a large amount at this one spot tho :mrgreen: so hopefully half hour/45 mins of water collection does the job.

Basically my plan is to bring out a large rubber maid tub or industial size garbage can near my plot, then just run the hose from the water source to my rez, do the proper water treatment in the rez as im sure the PH will be a little off then from there straight to a container or something i can fill or is filling while im watering. You wont want to leave water in the rez tho as im sure it will get bad sitting there, miquitos and shit. then when you leave just cover it up or buy the lid to to put on it and make sure its tucked away somewhere along with the pumps, instead of bringing them everytime.

yea for sure guys when i get them in ill update you, on how well they work, i got my fingers crossed this could be a big time and stress saver for me!,

OK so you plan on putting the pump in a nearby water source like a river or something. Then have the pump bring water to your res where you can make sure it's the correct Ph. Am I right so, far?.......But, how do you get the water from the res to the plants? Or do you plan on watering them manually from that point?

correct so far, im getting two pumps, one from my lake(water source) to my rez, then from the rez to my plants. by the way that pump listed is the BEST of its type i found and i searched for a lengthly time.

I used to collect rain water into a rubbermaid thing outside. My plants loved it. Be careful with lake water though, if it's too stagnant it might cause problems with the roots.

ok heres the problem with tha good idea yeah but ur water source is higher than ur plants that sound like a potental flooding problem to me unless its a lake or mash area

that sound like a good idea but i wonder on the upflow of how high it can pump the water....im in the middle of planing a 15 by 45 plot with a few hundred clones ...i was thinking of using 3 55 gallon drums digged into the soil...the 2 would be for water the other for supplys and for the 300 foot garden hose i would use once every few weeks to fill up the tanks...i was thinking of making a box with car batterys and inverters and solar panels to recharge the bank of batterys to power the 1/2 sump pump to do the job...any thoughts???

If you have the know-how and access to solar panels that would be pretty cool. Just be careful and electricity and water have been long time enemies.
