For vegging~how many K is the best ?

someone told me 6500k is good for vegging, so i bought 2 6500k flouracent tube;But i still need to change to MH later , so which kind of k of mh is good ?because there are so many kinds of K of mh , i know HPS is 2100k that is good to flower , but for vegging ??

yes it does,,,the hps doesnt have as much of the blue frequency as a mh but enough to get you by......

Lumens for hps, cfl, mh are all just lumens. So for any type of light you use the more lumens the better. Lumens are lumens no matter how they are sliced, it is the color spectrum that is different.

Yes hps is a red spectrum light which is best for flowering and suitable for vegging.
Mh with blue spectrum is best for vegging and suitable for flower but not optimal.
Cfl's are great for vegging especially because of power consumption, cost, and heat, this is what i use for vegging plants.
Floros are also great for vegging, but not for flower.

Stay away from halogen!!!

6500k is strong in blue spectrum as well as 5000k. Im pretty sure hps operates at 2100K but dont quote me ;) Both are good and an HPS will def take you throgh an entire grow nicely!

thank you all,i think i will choose two kinds of light--HPS and MH. And HPS is no problem , because it's just has a kind of K---2100k;but which kinds of K of MH that i should choose for my vegging.......thanks again
