? for you guys on mh and hps lights

Ok I recently went into a hydro store and found a light, ballast ,and reflector. Now my ? Is about the bulb. This pack comes with a 2 spectrum bulb will I get the same yield as a 1 mh and 1 hps bulb or worse I know that's the nuts and stuff are a big part in all this I just want to know if these bulbs are worth it or not and thanx for the help if you comment

Yes, the lamps are very good, but in my 15 years of experience as both a grower and a Journeyman Electrician, I must say there's no substitute for having both MH AND HPS present in a mj garden. I run both at almost all times...from beginning to end... I burn more MH than HPS during seedling and veg state, and slowly but steadily decrease the amount of MH and add more HPS during flowering, and at the last two weeks of flowering I blast the fuck outta everything with all I have, and that seems to be the best way to make Mary Jane come! lol! Seriously though, thatz the way to really soar above your peers and reach the floating mountains of Pandora, so to speak... That's where the biggest, knarliest, and the highest quality buds are born and raised, inside mixed H.I.D. spectrums....

So ill be good running those bulbs till burn out then thanx on the info I just didn't want to waste the money if its not worth it at all. Lol on marry comin

Well the ballast adjust it from 500 750 and 1000 watts for 400 that includes ballast reflector and bulb I thought that was a fair price what you think?

I think you should just sit down, stand back up. Go into ur fridge get a drink, sit back down, roll a joint, smoke it. Then eat a delicious Doritos locos taco from taco bell. And go with the dual arch bulb. It'll work but u gotta think of it like this. Ur splitting the spectrum to one that, the plant wont recognize on one or another stage.
so basically, if using the dual bulb during veg, instead of getting the full potential of metal halide bulb, its only gonna get half of the potential.. and the arch (hps) isn't gonna compensate that Otherr half with just spectrum alone. I'd go mh and then switch to hps during flower but if ur gonna get a package deal for that price buy it n see. U may like it

HPS in Veg can cause super bad streaching making for legthy and less dense colas, espacialy with sativas and sativa hybrids. Mixing the spectrum which was suggested "MH/HPS" and visa versa would make the most sense.

The Sun is not demable nor can its bulbs be changed. Use you MH/Blue spectrum with a small amount of Red/MH spectrum in veg. Vegging plants make more use of blue then red in veg, and you'll get tighter buds. In flowering do the opposite as the plants use more of the red spectrum in flower. Use the blue spec. in smaller amounts when flowering.

If you just starting out cragilist or find some used gear. Also look into T 12, T 8, and T5s. you can increase your blue spectrum with a lot more efficiency in wattage usage and heat displacement. Home depot is a cheap solution for veg lights. Save the 1000 watt HPS for flower only with some blue spec. like a T5 + your 1000wow HPS.
