Force Hermie Males

I was wondering if there is any way to force a male to become hermie with light/watering stress

I wanted to do a little experimenting with hermie pollen but still get a little smoke from them, so as not to waste all that time and energy to some super dank balls.

would love to know anyone elses thoughts on this subject.

Well Hermies are good for certain things like getting female seeds but this is becuase you force a female to have male sacks which means there are no male chromosomes. Thus resulting in female seeds. If you were to successfully do this with a male the resulting would be male seeds, would be good for breeders i presume but not for growers in general. Forcing hermie the nice guy way is to take a dark bag (paper bag with painted black or something) and place over one of the branches during middle of light period for one hour and do this a coupl of times different days and should be successful if done around begining of flowering stage.

i was under the impression that fem seeds were made from the pollen of your strongest herms with a few of your best looking girls.

and i just read about asprim forcing plants to hermie

so give some feedback
can i use males for this or is it just a waste of time all in all
I honestly dont wan't to waste time on my own research if someone on here already has firsthand experience that i can learn from

you use ethylene gas. A cheap source is apples and bananas, the riper the better. Put the plant and either or both whatever, in a big plastic bag loosely closed so that the plant can breath but the gas stays inside. How long it would take I don't know, I'd guess a couple of weeks if ever.
People have used this trick to force houseplants into blooming for years. BTW it will make tomatoes ripen faster too.

I have made canna butter from male plants. And just recently was in Minnesota and visited a grower from this site and made their lemon skunk into some canna butter and it got them fucked. So it is potential to make hash from, just not the highest THC creation ya know. definitely possible though, especially if you can get buds forming on it.

i thought of this infact because i realized that after i took my males out of the grow room i put them back under 24 hour light for three days

one of them now has the start of a bud with plenty of hairs forming at the main new growth.
the thought of a cola on this male is absolutly wonderful considering all the plants i had turned into males. 6 total
this one male has hermied and i wanted to do it with the rest

genetics was a bit of an afterthought but deffinatly something of intrest to me.
