formula 707??

im debating if i should purchase the formula 707. The contents in the mix make it seem very nice, but i just wanted to double check and see if anyone has tried this soil out. If so, did you use any other nutrient solutions? thanks for the help

I've used it and stopped. It was okay, but I didn't think it was consistent and I've had nutrient problems. I used it on two different grows. I went back to miraclegro with moisture control.

707 is ammended more lightly than Roots Organics.

I ran it for years with no prollum....from 3 gallon smart pots to 16'x4' beds

thanks for that info. it was pretty helpful and im leaning towards purchasing it. @kalyx do you think i should i add perlite in the mix for more drainage in 5 gallon pots? and WOW! on those ladies in that link

Thanks. I ran the 707 straight but the fabric pots help things dry out. If you don't feel 100% comfortable with how often to water containerized plants then adding some perlite may help. Or instead just use fabric pots, I really like the increased root branching that they promote. Just wait till they are light, which can be tough for some.
IMO I am trying to get away from perlite as it does not host beneficial microbes as well as pumice (roots uses both in all their mixes) or many other natural things like rice hulls, cocoNOT, etc, anything natural is better IMO. Perlite is a totally man made mineral product. My mix is posted in the veganic thread and the only perlite in it is what comes in the FFOF that I'm using as the base. I may switch to roots though, I just HATE supporting the big company on top, no matter what the industry. Hope it helps
