Newbies, thats the forum i'd like. I've been a loyal and helpful member here for a very long time and I still get a great satisfaction from helping people, newbies in particular. I often find people personally attacking these people over their questions and saying "do some research" and regularly try to both let the other person know they dont need to be rude and personally attack someone just seeking help and answer the questions. I think im fairly well liked around here and while i have not been on as much as i used to due to work things are slowing down for the year now and my free time increasing again. I've helped alot of people. I've wanted to be a mod for over a year now and would do my best to serve the site and the community.
I back racerboy71, I think he would be a really good mod. if my opinion matters. lol

I would make a bad mod, I'm a jerk at times! BUT Kevin Murphy on the other hand, he would make a good mod! He is in the U.K. So while all the other mods in the U.S. are asleep he will be on. Plus he is a nice guy and doesn't trash talk anyone and helps people when ever he can (including finding the info if he doesn't know!)

as i have already stated in my past threads that i would like to be a moderator and help peopkle on the riu..i put in the time to this site and even though i havent been here that long i would like to be given a chance..there will probably be more deserving and more qualified people on here that can do the job but not many that want the job as much,i am someone who woul;d be open and helpful and would be able to talk it through with people on riu with whatever complaints or problems they have..this is my moderators application,if im not considered this time please could you keep me in mind for the future as i will be here for a very long time.

Throw in me in for 'Newbie Central' or/and possibly 'Introduce Yourself' please roast.
If I were mod of the Newbie Central or IY I would help the site keep accounts by not allowing older, jaded or angry senior members scare away new members. I get that a little hazing (no pun) is standard for new members, but I've seen a few people quit RIU simply cause a senior felt like flexing their superior brain power in whatever subject OP is asking about, in a nasty way.
I would try keep things civil and mutually respectful without steeping on anyones toes, while enforcing the TOU if I had to.
As for my knowledge on the subject, I am like the Uber Noob. I've a stack a books that I've read at least twice. I keep in the industry by buying all the MJ mags. I know a bit of weed history. And most importantly I have the patience to answer the same questions over and over and over again.
