I'm no expert on hermies, but I would wait it out. I have seen a couple cases of very localized male/female behavior on genetically female plants when stressed. I was able to clip the male stem off, and the rest of the plant was a good smoke. If you can determine a true genetic male from multiple sites and branches, then chuck it.
