Fowering???

Is flowering time from 12/12 or is it from the preflowers and sexing? We started 12/12 on April 26. They were all mostly 2ft. from the dirt. There were no "preflowers" until a week later. And is that considered "forced flowering"? And how do you get "preflowers" before 12/12 if indoors under a light schedule?

I go by seeing the preflower and sexing. Usually if you veg for 45+ days you will see preflowers. So, technically it would be a "forced flowering" since it is not naturally mature.

I wouldn't consider preflowers to be forced flowering, its sumptin that would happen naturally to the plant in its life cycle anyways before goin to a shorter light cycle based on the length of the season alone where outdoors it would receive more than 12/12 light for 45+ days wouldn't it so that means that it would start to show preflowers even outdoors. Well based off when u would plant them and weather conditions and all that if u could even plant em early enuf to get that many days of longer lightin some places I guess. Hell imagine tryin to grow outdoors in some place like green land where its 24hrs light for half the year and 24hrs dark half the year, or sumptin along those lines.

If you didn't see pre flowers on a 2 foot tall plant, I don't think you know what to look for. I'm not trying to sound rude. 2 ft tall from the soil line? or from the base of the balls... (JK). But really, how are you measuring your 2 ft?

Nevermind. I see you said from the soil. You should see preflowers on a 2 ft tall plant.

I always start counting at 12/12. However, I never schedule anything around the count... if that makes sense.

They were a little stretched and we still had them on a veg schedule. Correct me if I'm wrong... preflowers are the first time you can really tell sex... two little pisils in a calyx or two goshdarn little balls starting at the internodes. Right?

medical2012 133.jpgmedical2012 117.jpgmedical2012 116.jpgActually they were 90 days old on just a strict veg schedule at 18 hrs a day, under about 60,000-70,000 thousand lumens of cfl 6500k. then I swaped out to 2700k 50-50 mixed when i switched to 12/12.I figure they are coming in to thier fifth week of flower. they are now mostly 3 ft to 4ft and starting to fill in where it looks like the flowers connect node to node.I've tied a couple down. I've been experimenting with the light arrangement they seem to favor the veg bulbs, but many are stacking on the trichomes under both spectrums .These were grown from bag seed. They have hybrid traits, been on h2o every other day then proper nutes once a week right now :leaf:9-50-30. I started all the seeds in peat pucks , then planted into 2.5 gl. buckets, fox farm soil(happy frog ), then fed once a week with npk , 15-10-15 , then fox farms beastie bloom in the 3rd week. Anybody care to guess what strains?

anytime you flower before you see preflowers it is "force flowering" ...by 90 days you should have had preflowers tho...also its automatic nothing you can do to make it preflower. if april 26th is the day you switched you can pretty much count the first week or two as like a intersession not quite flowering so if your strain is a 56 day strain it will likely take about 70 days from the switch. next run i would get good genetics no bag seed and also id grab an hps for flowering you will see a huge difference.
