Fox Farm Organic Fertilizer?

I too use the "Fox Farm" products, Ocean Forest soil I agree is terrific. I plant in well draining 3 gallon containers. Over watering is a super concern of mine and focus on growing a healthy root ball to support a vibrant vegetative growth necessary to support anticipated flowering stage. I mix the O.F. with a soilless mix to promote max drainage. Mix 2/3 O.F. with 1/3 Ready Grow Aeration Formula. Almost impossible to overwater, can water every 3-4 days, and allows for nutes once a week safely. Pic's show week 5 from dry seed, will finish up vegetative stage at 6 weeks from dry seed.

shit happens especially about organic fertilizers on here

arite, if you must fertilize with this stuff (which i don't recommend), then do at least trade the tomatoe fert w/ the 3rd one down. Or, preferrably, return it completly and get the right stuff (liquid ferts, soluble, and if you can get a little ocean forest on that shit.) you'll have some joyous plants, bro. Its just that my boy tried the peace of mind stuff (doesn't remember which one) and he didn't like it at all. my 2cents

nubb, arent those foxfarm's hydro nutes?

nope. FF doesnt have any hydro-specific nutes except for their hydroponic GrowBig. everything else is hydro/soil versatile. all of their solubles, and all of their other nutes liquid or otherwise, is all useable in both hydro and soil/soiless mixes. The Hydroponic FF growbig (in the TEAL bottle, not green), is the only thing that is ONLY used for hydroponic grows, and cannot be used in soil.

-Actually, my hydro shop pro said that even the Hydro Grow big can be used in soil, but you cant use the regular soil grow big in hydro.

king this is untrue,i did 2 bubbleponics grow useing the fox farm 3 pak the grow big i used was for dirt.it didnt give me no problems i also used the cha ching in it too

I use fox farm products exclusively and I am happy with their overall performance. In terms of soil when it comes to clones or seedlings I use light warrior. when I am ready to make a transplant I use ocean's forest with the amendment of marine cuisine. Just a fair warning when it comes to their feeding schedule I would half their recommended doses or you will fry your plants and use the alternate nutrient and water scheduling. If you decide to use the solubles like open sesame, beastie bloomz, and cha ching also half the recommended dose and always check your ph after making your nutrient cocktail because those three will bring your ph down significantly. The great thins with the liquid fertilizers of grow big, big bloom and tiger bloom they are already ph adjusted for soil or hydro applications.

So tell me if this is shady

I decided to scrap the whole dry nutes thing and was taking the box back to the store to exchange it for some tiger bloom. Stupid me locked my keys in my car in the hydro shops parking lot, so I go inside tell the guy whats up ask him if i can leave the box of nutes that i wanted to exchange there while I use my friends car (who convieniently worked at the gas station adjacent) to get my spare set.
The guy said it was fine, but when I got back to the store the guy told me I couldnt return them because somehow my box got infested with larva? He showed me where he had "crushed" one on the side and said that the whole thing was infected and my medium was probably the cause (even though I hadnt opened it, AND I kept it in my closet, AND I hadnt started my grow yet so no medium could be infected).
Either way he wouldnt take it so i said fuck it and got the tiger bloom anyways. As im walking out to my car i start asking myself, did I get hustled? I mean the guy probably doesnt do a lot of business, and im all for supporting my local grow shop but really?
