that fox farm shedule is not ment for growing cannabis.. Especially if using one of their soils...wich is already rich in nitrogenI have a similar question. I came across this schedule from FoxFarms: http://www.nationalgardenwholesale.com/ngw/literature/Soil Systems Soluble feeding schedule.pdf
As you can see, they base it on a 12 week cycle. If anyone is familiar with their nutritional additives & fertilizers, are they of high quality and is the schedule they publish reasonable. My obvious fear as a novice is that the schedule is too aggressive because that I can't fix. Also, could someone offer feedback on the BushDoctor Sledge Hammer rinse additive. I've never heard of needing anything aside from filtered water. They make the argument of nutrients getting "locked" into the root system (I'm guessing as a salt) and this additive presumably unlocks them.
Is this analogous to undercoat for my car - something I don't understand and likely will never need?
ammendments to the fox farm trio schedule .(strain dependent)
**** assuming bi-weekly feedings ****
week 1 (if you choose to feed this early) 1/8th mix
week 2-3 1/4th mix
week 4 1/2 mix
week 5 full strength if your plant has recieved the nutrients with no issues .
week 6 may or may not be flowerign by now ( strain and personal choice dependent) full strength. ** if any damage has shown in new growth revert , to the prior dosage with no problems. Personal journals are great to refer back to for thoose of us with bad memory .
week 7-10 If it aint broke dont fix it ..maintain current schedule feedings.
week 11-12 I start to wind down the nutrients 1/2 , 1/4 1/8 then strait water (distilled , PH balanced , or reverse osmosis ) as a flush I usually flower a bit longer then this with my strains but it is completely optional.
just a quick ammendment for ya if you need a more detailed explanation feel free to message me . Ive been growing completely organic for quite some time . ( Some peoples definition of organic may differ from mine , and have grown some of the best weed ive ever smoked , remember everything is just piss and vinegar literally ..)
A few things to remember :
1. The more you use , the faster you run out and need to re purchase .
2. Lighter feeds are better feeds . ( untill you know what your strain is capable of recieving w/o burn)
3. all brands are just a natural or synthetic mix of common elements easily obtained at any nursery.
4. be patient , up slowly , pay attention to new growth for signs of how your nutes are working
5. if it worked for you share it . spread the love with others ^^
Put the whole Grodan cube into the soil. Never ever remove roots directly from the block it will kill your plant the majority of the time. Also remember when you put the Grodan block into soil you want the block to dry out and the roots to stretch into the soil. To achieve this attempt to water only the soil and not the block. When I moved my blocks into 3gal FFOF pots I watered with ph 6.5 RO 1L every 3 days with success.thanks deprave for that usefull information!
i started my seedlings in an A-Ok starter cube, which is made with Grodan Stonewool, I was wondering when i transplate them into there 2 gallon pots i was gunna use the fox farm soil, then transplant them into a bigger pot once they start growing. Is that a bad idea? and another question is if i could just plant those starter cubes into the pots with the soil?
