fox farm

Im sure this question has been answered, but i couldnt find it. I read that some strains dont like FF ocean forest blend, the strains i am going to grow will be [Nirvana] white widow, blackberry, and ice. The nuts i will use will be all foxfarms. So my questions are this, will these strains work well in ocean forest? Is light warrior really necessary for seedling stage? What perlite? Does the brand matter or can i use miracle grow brand? I know the ratio should be 1 to 3. Any other recommendations for these strains? Any thing i should look out for in general? Thank you to anyone who responds, you guys are awesome!

Keep on reading. I wouldn't put my nuts in my soil.

I use FFOF and FFLW. LW for seedlings, OF for clones and transplanting. never had any issues with either.

Please help with this then, i did read that synthetic nuts destroy the beneficial bacteria and microbes in the soil, so i called FF and asked about that, thier reply was thier products are made to work in conjunction w ith thier soil. I know organic growing is using only natural, and im not looking for short cuts but i was given the impression that the fertilizer and soil are suppose to work together, because it is not a urea based fertilizer.

they were being a smart ass as you abbreviated nutrients as nuts, so he said he'd not stick his nuts on the soil, trying to make a funny..

i use fox farm oceam forest for seeds and never had an issue once..
the problem with say miracle grow perlite is that it has added nutrients in it, it's not just straight up perlite, but if you look it will say with miracle grow nutes in it, so you could be making what some people think a hot soil even hotter by adding it.. but like i said, i never had a problem with ffof being hot..
if you add the miracle grow perlite, i'd not feed them for probably close to a month with the fox farms line of nutes.. keep an eye on them, and when they start to look hungry, start out with about 1/4 the dose on the bottle of the fox farms stuff and slowly work your way up from there..

All those plants are strong plants, so they are not easy to ruin. The standard nutes will not kill the beneficial microbes in the soil, and you can benefit the roots further by adding a teaspoon of molasses per gallon of water once a week, which feeds the microbes. Microbes can be added by watering, by such as Earth Juice BioZeus, which I use.

Synthetic nuts, is that like those things you see pendulously swinging from the trailer hitch on Pickups sometimes?

Foxfarm will be fine for whatever you grow. I've used it to sprout seeds. Happy frog is good too and has beneficials in the soil. You don't have to feed for a month or when you start to see some fade. It'll be good. Do not complicate it and never ever stick your nuts in your soil, I mean it.
