Fox Farms soil growers...nutes?

I see a lot of growers especially first time and/or newbie growers using FF for a medium but a completely different type of nutes and I was wondering why not just K.I.S.S. and use the nutes that are designed for the soil?

What do you use and why?

I use FF nutes in my FF soil.

I prefer happy frog over ocean forest, it's not as hot. Big bloom and tiger bloom is a very simple combo and I've had good results from it.

Well if ffof had some quality control and knew what was actually in one bag to the next..

Dont know that there are any nutrients "designed" for ffof specifically.

Most nutrient lines are composed of the same 16 elements.

Just sayin' except my first grow when I used Technaflora's recipe for success, I use the FF nutes as well with Happy Frog soil. BUT, come to think of it my first grow was freakin awesome. So, maybe the question is moot.

FFOF is calmagsulfur light, and their nutes are... calmagsulfur light. I really don't think they go well together. I don't add any signfiicant amount of nutes for 4-5 weeks of veg.
I use Heavy 16 (calmagsulfur rich) along with Home Grow Sea Grow 4-26-26. H16 tries to charge $45 for 250mL of their 1-10-16 P-K booster, so I just use Sea Grow in its place.

I have used for farm soils and nutes. I bhad very good and consistent nresults. The only reason I stopped using fox farm soil is because I can't get it at a reasonable price. So I make my own soil test days. It's pretty simple. Intake kellogs brand patio plus, I can get it at Lowe's or home depot for less than 10.00 for 2 cubic feet. Then I mix in an 8lb bag of buffaloam compost, a bag of bone meal, sphangam peat moss, and perlite. That's it. Incan run autos straight through wit no nutes. Ill dose cal\mag as needed, and water with PhD water.

im currently using ff happy frog and ocean forest mix... the of seems very barky.. lots of sticks and chunks.. the happy frog seemed more consistent..my plants are @ 1 month since germ and are showing signs of nute burn even without feeding.. feeling like the soil is a little hot.. also a few showing cal mag def.. so maybe "staygreener" has a point... was considering using the ff nutes since they are readily available for me...but as this is my first grow I am a little nervous about when to start..? and is topping a recommended practice when growing indoors..? my plants ak`47 extrm and Bianca seem very very bushy.. node spacing about 1-1.5 inches...
