im thinkin about using foxfarm grow big soil formula (6-4-4) for the veg and then tiger bloom (2-8-4) for flower. open sesame seems a little bit extreme and awaste of money
(5-45-19) the P in open sesame seems like its too much for the plant to even use? or is it? iwas also gonna add mollasses. by the way im using foxfarm ocean forest mix.
and should i also apply the nutes everyother watering like it says on the bag. i wasnt sure if that was fine for my ladies, i know theyre similar to tomatos nute wise.
the open sesame and cha ching and beatie bloom are additives, they dont have the micro organisms that the liquid nutes do in them. FF ocean foreat is great, but i DO recommend a 20-30% mix of perlite in with soil tho for better arration and less chance of over-watering too. helps a TON on the perkeeness of them too.
the SMARTEST thing i read in there was about picking up some mollases, black-strap will do, but if u dont wanna skimp on this and dont care to pay 20 bucks (best 20 bucks i even spent for my grow) u should take a peek into humboldt nutrients HONEY. they have a organic carbs ES for soil and one for hydro too. heres wat i found on the internet about it....
HMBOLDT HONEY ES
Humboldt Nutrients Humboldt Honey ES is a premium blend of cane molasses, yucca, kelp and ocean fish, this carb source is as unique, as it is strong. The ES means Extra Strength. It increases brix levels by providing sugars to beneficial bacteria, fungi, and your plants.
Just as the human body hosts beneficial bacteria in the digestive system, plants must host microbial life in their root zone to ensure proper digestion, growth and health. Plants feed Mycorrhizal and bacterial organisms near their root zone with carbohydrates. This is the symbiotic relationship between plants and micro organisms.
When a plant goes into a fruiting cycle they immediately divert sugars and carbohydrates from their root zone to their fruiting bodies. It is at this time that using Humboldt Honey ES becomes most crucial. As the plant naturally channels carbohydrates to new flowers, buds, and fruits, the microbial life in the root zone suffers and starves.
By using our thick premium Humboldt Honey ES in conjunction with our nutrient feeding schedules you not only enhance the quality, flavor and quantity of your crop, but you maintain all the healthy microbial life present in the plants digestive system, the root zone and surrounding soil.
DIRECTIONS: Add 5-10 mL per gallon.
