They might be Cree LEDs. You're looking for XP-E far red, order codes XPEFAR-L1-0000-00501 or XPEFAR-L1-0000-00601. I can't tell they're genuine from a picture. And if so, they're probably the lower bin. What do you guys think of these:

Are they even Cree? And if so, is that model dated or what, cause I can't seem to find the datasheets or any info on them.
I've tried stevesleds, but the shipping fee is way out of the question. Looking for Luxeons on ebay and alibaba as well.
Okay, and how would one go about wiring these leds to only power on for a few minutes after lights out?
I use a low-tech solution (timer) because I am not that technical at this moment. I would like to use the design of churchhaze, but that must wait a few months when I have more spare time. Tonight the lights will be used for the first time, I am very curious about the results.
That sounds great, happy. Please post results! Thanks for the link. Have you theorized anything upon the info you've read so far?
But what are the "brains" of your circuits called? The programmable things? Are they essentially small programmable multi-switches or what?
Has anyone here tried using 730nm during the day after the stretch period is finished, as well as the pulse after lights out? I have a significant amount of 730nm power I could be using during the day.
I've been thinking about this one recently... After the stretch is finished, is there any reason not to have the 730nm on with the rest of the lights, because I could easily set my timers to do this. It wouldn't be much of a controlled experiment if i tried.
I have a feeling it wouldn't cause any stretch if the stretch period was completely finished, but would it benefit?
