First up Money Maker from GHS is shit, that said it will get to harvest and is a great stater plant the Afghanis are from Seedsman also shit, but of the 2, I'd go the Afghani, as you have found out, any person doing biz ain't gonna give their best stuff away, ..that said avoid growing more than 2-3 strains at any one time until at least you got 3-5 grows done..
Often old seeds are dry and are drieing out and are hard to germ, you got it that far ,, is a credit to you..
Its well worth cruising the weed sites looking for intel on your next big seed buy, I make a list and run it down to 3-4 different strains each year, one year I may just get hat choco that I've been dreaming about
