Freezing seeds

Ya in the fridge, thats the best way to keep them. Make sure its in an air tight container so they dont dry out and they should last for years.
 
I have never had a problem sticking them in the freezer. I just stick em in a sealed container so they dont get into contact with moisture or ice. I've had seeds frozen for 5 years pop with no ill effects
 
Sure if that's a better way of putting it. So they can survive in the colder season. Because in trying to grow in the winter also.
 
Freezing seeds is to preserve the seeds for long term storage, nothing more. It doesn't make the plant more winter hardy. The only thing that does that is selective breeding for cold hardy traits like the Canadians like to do.
 
Oh alright for sure. So say I find a strain that I get for my area and and I plant them directly outside say octoberish. Would I be able to pull a decent amount off them? Or should I try and veg to a foot or 2 tall? I'm jus curious cuz this iisn't first time growing this season and I was sadly disappointed and unprepared. The bid worms destroyed a good amount of mmy girls and I wanted to try for a winter crop as I heard there are no bugs in winter. Any help is appreciated. And if anyone knows of a good strain that is mmold resistant and does well in cold climate.
 
I've had afghani plants get snowed on and put up with below freezing nights pretty well , they also developed a nice purple hue. find a cold resistant strain. usually an indica strain is more cold hardy then a tropical sativa. an indica dominant hybrid could work too.
