Because of your weather, tourist attractions, biodiversity, ethnic diversity, space, wealth, facilities, and natural landscapes, not the people. I personally like the people, but alot of people don't.

Most of London (except the business sector and rich areas) is a shithole and the people are notoriously unfriendly but still people visit... It makes me embarrassed to see how other Londoners treat eachother and tourists when I'm out.

Good choice! I rode on a train through Italy in a car with 4 of the hottest, coolest girls from Australia. What a fun ride. Too bad I was going up to Venice to meet my wife or I might have stayed on with them.....the only brunette in the group was extra sweet to me. Fuck.....should have stayed on the train

O.k., true story (sorry France). Several years back me and several members of my family traveled to Chimayo to visit the Santuario. We stopped off at a little known restaurant outside of the town which had excellent New Mexican cuisine. It was an old hacienda that was converted into a restaurant. My family is mixed. We're native, anglo and hispanic. Normally we don't get so much as a glance when we travel together. We decided to eat indoors (they have an outside eating area) since it was hotter than Hell. While we were eating, there came this smell wafting through the main dining area. It was a combination of stale sweat and unwashed bodies. It was fucking STRONG. I nearly gagged. Then a bunch of people came into the dining area wearing shorts and tank tops. The first thing I noticed was the women had hairy armpits. This was new to me. I was astounded. It was hard not to stare. They sat at a table not far from us and started up a conversation. In French. They were French tourists.

How do I know? They noticed our table. The only ones with Natives sitting at it. They flocked over to our table and started asking a bunch of questions. The odor was equivalent to getting hit by a skunk blast at point blank range. We tried our damnedest to be polite... really we did. But finally we just got up and left. They would NOT leave us alone. Of course with my anglo appearance they completely ignored me. But my poor relatives. I laugh my ass off when I think back on it but at the time it was disgusting.

I know all French folk aren't like that but that was my one experience with French tourists.

I just remembered the name of the restaurant. Rancho de Chimayo. Here is a pic of the dining area where we were accosted:

To answer the question, I'm French Canadian...I try to always be polite and a gentleman but I'm afraid that it's like anything else, there are assholes everywhere, white, black, french, english...it doesn't matter where your from, your skin color or the language you speak...
Also I think all the people who "hate French people" are stupid, yes that's right...RACIST FUCKERS!

on another note...some French people from France can really be dicks, I dislike them but I don't HATE them...just like I don't hate Americans, I dislike a big part of them but love the other part...
