Awesome man. Love the seed art :) Best part is that those look like some great beans! And isn't smoking homegrown so much better? Next you need to try home grown outdoor. :) The outdoor stuff I just grabbed was grown all natural with no nutes or watering on a half excatvated native american burial site. And I dunno if its the sun, the all natural approach, or the indian voodoo but god damn its trippy stuff. You should go find a waterfall or some pretty stream and plant some of those diesel rider seeds near it. See if the water sprites imbue your pot with magical powers :weed:

DAY 72

Plant Stage (Alice & Claudia): Flower [Day 42]

Plant Stage (Farah): Flower [Day 7]
Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights: 175w 4200K Metal Halide, 70w 2000K HPS, 4x68w 2700k CFLs
Medium (All Plants):
3 Parts Sunshine Mix, 1 Part Pearlite
Ferts (All Plants): 21 drops of Schultz 10-15-10 per gallon every other watering.
Strain: 3 Unknown Bagseed (Female)

Hi guys, sorry its been so long since I updated. A few exciting things have happened, but the plants are engulfing my fridge pretty bad. The plan was to have 6 more plants moved in sometime soon but i don't see how that will even be possible. Out of the 3 senoritas (Cuatro, Cinco & Seis) only 1 was a female, and her name is now Farah. Well lets get started on the pics so I can go to bed :)

Heres a shot of the fridge before taking the ladies out to water them. Its everything I can do each day to keep the damn things off of the lights!

Heres Farah, she is more than 6 weeks old and I think Ill keep her in the 16oz cup as an experiment, and also because I want to keep her as small as possible. She has been through hell and back, I was thinking she was a male for a while and she's almost died 2 or 3 times. Considering the trauma shes been though she looks great!

Heres Claudia. Her 2 main stems are really starting to fill up and the smell of this plant is PHENOMENAL! Its a VERY dank citrus smell, especially when you pinch a bud & smell your fingers :)

A shot of one of Claudia's main branches, I cant wait to see what it looks like in a few more weeks!

Heres the LST monstrosity known as Alice. Alice is very familiar with the brning sensation a CFL light can give. Every day those football sized 68w CFLs are burning new spots on the plant. The middle branches have been resting on the glass below the HIDs for a couple weeks now with hardly any burning though.

That's all the pictures i have for now. In other news, my 150w HPS mini fridge is finally setup and operational. At the moment I have two 31 day old female Diesel Ryders, Six 31 day old Apollo11/Green Giants, and 3 9 day old Diesel Ryders residing in the mini fridge. They are all a bit fried from the hot temps in the cab they were in previously, and I think they all have a bit of a nitrogen deficiency. I added some 5-1-1 fish emulsion to their water today, so hopefully they start to look a lot better soon. Feel free to check it all out in my other thread, its in my sig.

OK its bed time for me, let me know what you guys think!!

Peace

I think you have too many plants, haha. But seriously they look great. It's a good problem to have when the plants won't stop getting bigger. Bummer only 1 of 3 turned out to be a girl, but it seems like you could use all the space you can get.

OK guys, I am headed out of town and wont be back until the 19th. Unfortunately I dont have time to do a pic update for both of my grows, and considering not much has changed in the big fridge, I will be doing a picture update of the mini fridge once I get home instead.

Alice, Claudia and Farah are all doing great in the big fridge though. The smell is finally starting to penetrate through the carbon a little bit, but Im barely using any and its been in use for almost 3 months now, so Id say thats about normal.

I replaced all of my 3M sticky hooks with eye bolts drilled through the partition between the lower and upper chambers. No more falling lights YAY! Just in time too, I was very nervous about leaving considering my lights kept falling over the last week due to poor adhesive.

A friend will be plant sitting for me, and he is very excited about it so I trust that all my beauties will still be alive & thriving once I return.

Thanks for following along and sorry its been so long between updates recently, work has been kicking my ass and this vacation is MUCH needed and long overdue!

See you guys in about a week & a half!!

Peace

DAY 91

Plant Stage (Alice & Claudia): Flower [Day 42]

Plant Stage (Ginger): Flower [Day 13]
Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights: 175w 4200K Metal Halide, 70w 2000K HPS, 4x68w 2700k CFLs
Medium (All Plants):
3 Parts Sunshine Mix, 1 Part Pearlite
Ferts (All Plants): 14 drops of Schultz 10-15-10 & 1 Tbsp of Molasses per gallon every other watering.
Strain: 2 Unknown Bagseed (Female), 1 Apollo11/Green Giant (Female)

Alright, Im just back from vacation and my friend did a good job of keeping my babies alive for me. He had some important things come up and wasn't able to make it back yesterday to water them, so they were all VERY thirsty when I got home. I have also updated my mini fridge grow which is coming along nicely, but there is far too much spare room in the mini fridge for the time being, haha!

Well to start, of the 6 Apollo11/Green Giants I originally planted in the mini fridge, only 1 turned out to be female :( It sure sucks growing 6 plants for over a month only to find out 5 of them were a waste of time. Well I actually have them in my closet growing under a single 26w 2700K bulb so I can possible collect some pollen so not a total waste :P The relevance here is that when I returned, the remaining female was already way too tall for the mini fridge and rested on the HPS long enough to char a few leaves off. I decided to move her on in to the big fridge and name her Ginger.

Farah was a plant I had growing in a 16oz cup and she was just not doing a whole lot and I had to water the damn thing almost every day so I put her in the closet with the males for shits & tickles, she will no longer be occupying the big fridge. I went ahead and planted Ginger in a 10 inch pot so Im sure she will get large, maybe Ill reveg after harvest to get some clones :)

Now Alice & Claudia have had a rough week, it got VERY hot here and like I said they were without water for a little too long. I have seen them almost this wilted before and they bounced back no problem after a good watering, so m hopes are high. Here are Alice & Claudia before cramming Ginger in there with them, just after watering all the plants.

Here is Ginger, the newest addition. She is my 50 day old, 13 days flower Apollo11/Green Giant cross. Other than the height being a bit higher than I prefer, she is VERY healthy. Im afraid she may like that pot just a bit too much.

And here is the conglomeration of plants that is now taking up nearly every bit of my fridge space. The eye bolts proved a valuable addition to the fridge, as no light fell or shifted the whole time I was gone.

Thats all for now, check my mini fridge grow out to see my Diesel Ryder beauties if you have any interest. Ill get some more pics up when the girls are looking a bit more spry, its looking like harvest time will be even further down the road than Id hoped but I might as well not turn back now. After Alice & Claudia have been harvested I will work on some more Apollo11/Green Giants.

Till next time :)

Well, a day after watering Alice & Claudia they look quite a bit better. They still dont look great though. Alice, my bushy girl, is looking better off than Claudia, and her branches seem to be fattening up finally. Claudia got hurt pretty bad between the high temps (probably 85-90) and 3+ days without water. She is bouncing back but a lot of the leaves look like they are dying, and the green ones are still curled under a bit.

I have faith that they will pull through, because all the buds still look very nice, and smell just as dank as before!

My little Apollo11/Green Giant cross is LOVING her new home, Im almost afraid about how large she may get. I will not be doing any topping or training of any sorts to her.

Well, since I posted late before I figured Id tag this update on here to bump the thread up a bit during peak hours :) I know I'm so shameless

DAY 98

Plant Stage (Alice & Claudia): Flower [Day 49]

Plant Stage (Ginger): Flower [Day 20]
Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights: 175w 4200K Metal Halide, 70w 2000K HPS, 4x68w 2700k CFLs
Medium:
3 Parts Sunshine Mix, 1 Part Perlite
Ferts: 14 drops of Schultz 10-15-10 & 1 Tbsp of Molasses per gallon every other watering.
Strain: 2 Unknown Bagseed (Female), 1 Apollo11/Green Giant (Female)

Well, day 98 for Alice & Claudia and they are not nearly as far along as I had hoped. I can say one thing, I will never wait more than 30 days to flower again. Ill probably turn it to 12/12 on the next run at 3 weeks. If I had to guess at a harvest date, I would say at least another 2 weeks. That would be 16 weeks total, I was hoping more like 13-14 weeks total but oh well I have the time :)

The major setback was the time spent in the fridge with the door closed and no water while I was on vacation. My buddy was not able to make it by for the last round of watering and they sat for probably 2-3 days in low to mid 90s temps with no water. They looked horrible when I got back, and they look much much better now. They are still not the prettiest things, and the buds are still a bit airy & small, but there are LOTS of them lol.

OK on to the pictures. Up first is my new girl Ginger. She is an Apollo11/Green Giant cross and she is 56 days old and 23.5" tall. Lots of purple in the stems and she is developing nice buds at every node. The top leaves are still a bit fried from some time spent resting against my 150HPS :fire::fire:

Here is Claudia, she definitely took the hardest hit over my vacation. She probably lost just as many leaves as there are left, but all the new bud growth looks real good. After all the leaves fell off, the inner buds started getting larger. The branch on the left is pretty damn heavy, but not nearly as dense as It hopefully will be.

Alice here sure has a lot of damn bud on her for one plant, haha! Looking at the size of the buds up close, i can tell it will be longer than I thought before its time to harvest her. Although, it will surely be worth the wait if all those branches fatten up, they should produce a very decent amount of bud! I love how much the 2 little "Christmas tree" buds on the far lower left have grown, they are both about 8 inches from a single 68w CFL. They were 2 little popcorn buds just days ago.

I rearranged the fridge once more, so that light coverage is optimal for all plants. I even have room on the left to sneak my Diesel Ryder in if need be. I figured that would be the best, if not the only way to get the gnats 100% out of my mini fridge. Damn gnats!! I bought Neem oil, and I'm using it at 2 tablespoons per gallon, and I'm spraying it on the top of the soil and allover the plants. Is this right? It hasn't had any adverse effects, but the gnats keep coming back. Anyways, here's a shot of the 3 girls in the fridge.

If I do end up adding the Diesel Ryder I will add pictures. I harvested the 2 larger DRs from my mini fridge so its the only thing in there now. If I get it out I can fit 20 party cups with DR seeds to hopefully end up with 6-10 females. I just don't want gnats in them, lol. For pics of my DR harvest check my mini fridge thread, they are still drying but I should get about 1oz total from 2 plants less than 10" tall.

Any advice or comments are always welcome. Thanks for stopping by :)

DAY 111

Plant Stage (Alice & Claudia): Flower [Day 62]

Plant Stage (Ginger): Flower [Day 33]
Plant Stage (Heide): Autoflower [Day 45]
Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights: 175w 4200K Metal Halide, 70w 2000K HPS, 4x68w 2700k CFLs
Medium:
3 Parts Sunshine Mix, 1 Part Perlite
Ferts: 14 drops of Schultz 10-15-10 & 1 Tbsp of Molasses per gallon every other watering.
Strain: 2 Unknown Bagseed, 1 Apollo11/Green Giant, 1 Diesel Ryder

Well I had time to snap a few more pictures of the fridge the other night. I ended up taking my last Diesel Ryder out of the mini fridge and putting it in the big fridge so I would have a good shot at removing the gnats from the mini fridge. So far it has worked great, I have 16 plants out of 20 I planted still kicking and not a gnat in site!! I also put pantyhose over the intake holes so that helps a lot!

So the harvest date for my 2 large bagseed ladies and my little diesel ryder should be right around the same time. Although, the larger girls may need even LONGER :shock::shock: judging by the bud growth rate. Its been damn hot recently, some day are 90-95F outside, probably 85-90F in the fridge. The apollo11 cross should finish about a week or 2 after the others. After that the fridge may get a big overhaul if I can afford it, or at least cleaned up real well and a sufficient scrubber attached.

Well, on to the pictures. Up first is my new girl Heidi. She is a 45 day old Diesel Ryder, likes ol' school hip hop, hiking, and she smells like a skunk fart. I like how putting her under the 68w CFL on a 12/12 light schedul caused ZERO branching. It will simply be one main cola, unlike the others Ive harvested under my 150w HPS.

Here is Ginger, she is 26" tall and I dont think she's gettin any taller, just fattening up. The smell of this Apollo11/Green Giant cross is a VERY citrus smell, its the sweetest smelling one in the batch, but the Diesel Ryder takes the cake for stinkiest!

Claudia is just putting along in growth, Im sure after losing most of her leaves that 90+ degree weather isnt helping. The buds are growing a little, and the trichomes are starting to form nicely but I sure wish they were further along by now.

Alice is pretty much on track with Claudia. All of the buds are still pretty tiny but there sure will be a lot of "Buds on a Stick" once this baby is done. Im very excited to see what I can pull off these 2 plants if given enough time to flower.

And here is a shot of all 4 ladies back in the fridge after watering. There's a little room up front and even a little in back if I had to squeeze a small plant or 2 in there, but I think I will let all of them finish. That way I can start on some modifications and fix some stuff.

So that's it for now, I will wait another week or so to update, hopefully it will be getting very close to harvest time for the Diesel. Any advice, questions or comments are welcome!! :)

Peace

KB... I am falling in love with your plants man. They look so nice. I think your fridge (or fridgeS) are off the hook man. If I didn't have a closet, I'd copy your setup.

DAY 140 (Final Harvest)

Plant Stage (Alice & Claudia): Flower [Day 91]

Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights: 175w 4200K Metal Halide, 70w 2000K HPS, 4x68w 2700k CFLs
Medium:
3 Parts Sunshine Mix, 1 Part Perlite
Ferts: 2 Tbsp of Molasses per gallon every other watering.
Strain: 2 Unknown Bagseed

So.....after 140 grueling days, I have finally decided to put these wicked bagseed BITCHES out of their misery. If I had known then what I know now I could have saved so much time & money. I started with 8 plants, and spent 140 days in all nurturing & caring for them to wind up with buds that can barely be called buds. They are very thin & there is hardly any density what so ever to the clusters. It was all pretty much ready to smoke right off the plant. after 3 days of drying it was almost too dry.

One was much better than the other as far as smell & quality goes. That one was Claudia. Here is Claudia just before cutting.

After cutting and hanging each branch in the closet. The top buds on the largest branches were pretty decent, the rest was fluffy and minuscule.

Now Alice, well in my opinion she isnt going to be worth the time it will take to trm all her little dead leaves off. I will probably do it as a lesson learned but I may not even smoke it all unless we get desperate. It looks decent at a distance but up close theres just hardly any bud there. Here she is before the chop.

And all her branches hanging in the closet. I couldnt even fit both plant's branches in one picture, haha!

So a big lesson learned here, DONT grow with bagseed unless it is your only option. And even then.....try harder to create another option! If you get lucky I suppose it could go well, but chances are you will wind up with some lanky pot that should have been grown outdoors & pressed into bricks so people dont see what it once was. But any plant that is cared for correctly (which these werent at times) will probably turn out better than mine. I have since had a few GREAT harvests of some Diesel Ryder and Apollo11 so i am overall very happy with the lessons learned along the way.

I ended up with 35g from my Apollo11 plant, and I believe 15g from my Diesel Ryder that were both flowered along side these 2 bagseed biatches!

On the bagseed, I got around 48g (1.7 Ounces) from Claudia and about 55g (1.9 Ounces) off Alice. This weight was taken after cutting the buds from the stems, so it does not include stem weight. If the bud was dense and normal, the weight would have EASILY been 3 ounces per plant.

Thanks for hangin in everyone, I will probably be donating the fridge to a friend and stick with my mini fridge for a while. I am moving soon so I will begin construction of something nicer eventually but for now the mini fridge is low profile and will suffice. Feel free to ask any questions but I am done posting updates, the grow is officially finished.

Peace
