Accepting a friend request doesn't raise a security risk for me, or most, so I don't consider it suspect. I see it more as needy and pathetic, be it an accurate conclusion or not, ,folk trying to "friend up" with more established members to feel more secure and established on the forum or what have you.

Even if it is a member I know and like, I don't really bother accepting requests, it changes nothing so I fail to see the point. I don't go out collecting friend cards in real life, so why would I on the internet.

I get those once in a while. I just friend them anyway. I usually never turn down a friend request. even if it's from a member who has no posts.

and I always took friend requests as a compliment.

I've also cleaned out my friend list down to zero a few times too.

I get a lot of friend rquests from hawaii members when they find out I am from HI. I'll also send a friend request to any member who is from hawaii also.

I guess its a little strange, but no biggie really. I like to have people on my list who write posts that I enjoy reading, so i can see what they're up to when I'm online here on my profile page. It makes it easy to join in a convo that is fun or interesting, or see new pics up from bad ass growers.

I like friend requests. I need some more, send some my way :).

Don't think I've ever checked my profile to see what folk are doing, but then again, I'm not normal. I do not keep friends in real life :-)

And lol carne, trying to callmybluff eh :D I will possibly mayve accept due to the Stella person you are, but friend request or not you'll always be a friend of mine.
