Let`s get some more entries noobs ^-------^ The challenge has been laid down and only a few brave men have thus far accepted it .
600 Views 5 entries . Would like to have atleast 20 in the comp so enter one and all lower wattage systems can bench high ones with proximity to foliage so keep that in mind and even enter your little ghetto setups like me .
Shall we enter country name in aswell so we can represent our nations ? ;0

Just a quick systems update found two 85 watt cfls for 10 dollars (5$ a piece ) dirt cheap !! So i got two of them and 100 watts of smaller ones so got another 270 watts to add to my cab as comp moves along . I`m too smoked out to do it now also grabbed some good sativa on the mission . Goodluck all keep them entries coming in .

It`s a 12/12 from seed competition though this means after sprouted the plant must be under a light cycle of no more or less than 12 hours of light a day .
Everyone is welcome to show off their plants , give advice or ask questions to each other on this thread if they so wish .

Update just some pics of the two bagseeds I`m entering and the setup just added 85 watt cfl with a quick solution for now . Using around 250 watts of Cfl now ..Added two more pots 4 inch pots with a mixture of the landrace swazi red and the unknown hybrid . Don`t got money for seeds I`m a broke student =) these will do for now . The comp is now on got one sprouted .

Tried to bait people in the comp with the noob comment didn`t work let`s get some more entries .
I`m using the 12/12 cycle because I`m moving house in 3 and a half months so hopefully all the new plants will be done by them . Peace all .

Hey Kieshed....One of my beans popped today so I offically have 1 entry so far :) YAY!! I just finished up my 2nd grow and was suppose to wait until fall to start my next, but I was feelin kinda sad not having any growing...then I saw this thread..lol! It gave me a reason to try an sneak a little grow in before my big fall/winter garden. I figured it's not gonna be too hot in my closet with just a few of the lights going...and summer is almost over, right? ;)



Strains: One popped so far.....Skunk (sativa) from my friends farm. She's been growing this strain for 20+ years. I grew it/harvested it indoors my first grow (all CFL's) and she hermied late so I got a few seeds. Shorty was so short and bushy, very colorful and skunky. Uppidy high :) Here is a picture of what she looked like:
(not 12/12) 100_5213.jpg We called her the Hamburger Helper Hand....lol! She brings back great first grow memories for me :) Hope her baby bean is a girl!

Container: So far in a jiffy peat pod growing roots :) Not sure what size pot I'll use yet.
Medium: peat moss and bark so far.....will be using Fafard 1-PV Growing mix when she's a bit stronger and I find her home.
Nutes: Neptunes Harvest Organic - Fish - Fish & Seaweed - Straight Seaweed
Lighting: So far.....2 26w 6500k and 4 42w 2700k 12/12 light schedule starting today:) Hopefully she'll have two sisters in there soon. I only have the 1 26w 6500k on her right now because she was just born this morning.

Plant# 1 (Shorty I) sprouted on 8/12
Plant# 2 (Shorty II) hasn't sprouted yet
Plant# 3 (Nirvana Bubblelicious) pheno stress hermie from my last grow. She had only 1 mature seed and this is it - hasn't spouted yet :(

Here are some pics of my germination and the one Shorty I who sprouted today :) (after 36hrs of germ) Hope I see the other 2 sprout tomorrow.

Oh, and I also have NO experience growing 12/12. I've been doing some reading up on some 12/12 grows and I'm excited to share info and learn from all of you :)

^Mine also taking long just got one in the comp so far other two pots i loaded with seeds from those two kind of bud to ensure something germs . Think the fan blowing across the soil at that level is making it take longer .
Welcome to the comp Calicatt79 . Winter is just ending here so my cab might start to get a little hot . That HHH bud looks decent colas look massive and compact realy nice job with the Cfl`s . Hmm wish I had some Bubblelicious seeds it`s my favourite tasting strain will get some of them soon I`m just broke for now . The most potent I smoked was Northern Lights was 20$ a gram a ridiculous price , but it made me hallucinate the way someone who has never smoked would perceive and fear getting stoned would be like . Favourite type of high though is motivational and cerebral sativa kind of high local seedbank here is selling Durban Poison and Thai seeds in it`s pure sativa catergory so will hook some of them soon .
Anyways just a rant .
Loving the strains being entered and the setups going to have weed from all over the world going in the comp it`s sick .
Going to update the roaster quickly haha peace .

Grower entry: indoormania
Strains: some skunk from a bag I got
Pot size: 10cmx10cm small seedling pot.
Soil: standard potting soil with aqua gravel
Nutes: Nitrosol organic liquid fert, will add this when I see it is ready for it's next step!
Lights: in the cab there is a total of 190watt of cfl, the lights are about 15cm awayfrom the little guy tho..I have a 20watt 2700k cfl about 5cm away, can't go closer as that's part of my light setup for the female!
Water has molasses added, I know its useless now but I added molasses to my entire water supply so the little guy has no choice haha I'm feeding with purified water.

It popped out of the ground on the 9th of August so its 4 days old today! Its going really slow but I guess that's coz of the 12/12 light cycle?

Indoormania - Think they just take longer to get established but once they get a few sets of true leaves nothing can stop them . Few days ago I cut one male that had 10 sets of true leaves at about 5-6 weeks and was big . Plant should get going soon you can enter two more though and also replace your entries at anytime.
Welcome to the comp dude going to check your log out now see how it`s going .

East Coast Pro - The wattage don`t matter for the cycle just keep the bulbs close and it`ll do fine but i`d say it`s enough for one big plant to harvest like between 1-3 ounces depending on what spectrum they are and the techniques used . Or you could just grow 3 small plants for the comp ideally using feminized or autoflowering seeds . Personally I`d just grow as much plants as possible without them dieing or looking unhealthy but that`s just because i`m using bagseed for the moment .

I basically started my first grow, going sog 12/12 from seed in a micro cab. I planted 11 plants in peat moss tablets for germing on 10.08, none have popped yet. I'm too lazy to write all the details right now, so I'll wait until first one pops and then officially enter the competition ^^. 7 of the brave seed are ak-47s and 4 unknown bagseeds.
And if anyone else also uses peat moss tablets for germination, every piece of advice is welcome. This time I just planted them about 1 cm from the top, covered with some peat moss and soaked with rain water. Probably should've soaked the seeds in cup for a day too I think.

Awe so he should get going as soon as he is actually up and has 2or 3 sets of true leaves? Cool! I'm just waiting for this 1 female to finish flowering so I can start the next 18/6 grow! That was my plan, but now with this comp it won't be that easy with 1 plant already under 12/12 haha but how long should this little guy grow before I can harvest it under 12/12?? It just makes sense that it will be a lot shorter? Seeing that my flowering period alone will propably be around 8-10 weeks on my female I have now and vegging was about 7-8 weeks but a very crappy start though. But still, will this whole grow then only take like 8 weeks or how does this work? Sorry if its a dumb question but I think lots of people would like to know haha

Got my seeds germing, will post pictures when they pop. I decided on a nirvana white widow and a nirvana mystery seed(aka indoor seed pack).

Sweet thanks for the info dude await your entry for germ nothing seems to work for me except just putting them in the soil and letting them germed my first pot had 3 seeds all three have germed now going to select the best one out of those 3 for that pot and other 3 seeds are in other pots germing . :)

Well find out in the competition if alot of small plants can beat a bigger single plant . I got 3 small comp pots going two big pots with 5 females 3 ones and 2 smaller ones just showing hairs . And another two medium pots so seven in total so after your main female is done you can probably load that cab with smaller ones started on your windowsill like 2-3 weeks before your main female is done :) . Like the skunk hybrids in my cab i started with an 11 watt cfl outside the cab and they doing fine now in the cab just got a little streched . All depends how on your security there and how much you can keep hidden or how much of a mission it all is .

Nice lol the world`s most popular strain entered into the competition . I don`t think I`ve ever smoked that one before though only the one with similar genetics White Rhino another one of my favourite strains . The Bubba i smoked and White Rhino was grown from nirvana seeds and was very good quality I don`t know about quantity but Nirvana seed shop are highly regarded among growers here because they constantly get their seeds all the way here quite fast and it`s a good deal . Will be an awesome enttry
