That seems like too much watts you gotta think about lumens per square foot. CFls are less efficient per watt then an HID when it comes to photosynthetic energy per waty but most people run 16-25 square feet with a 1000w lamp. 500w in cfls when positioned well could easily get you 200 grams dry no problem but i dont see that happening in that space

maybe with co2...

The first picture is my humidty and temp for the day
Humdity right is 37 and it has gone from 20-78
The temp is 79 right now and it has gone from 68-88
(I reset it every 24 hours to see the change so these numbers are for the the last 24 hours)
The second pic is of the bone meal i used i add 3 small finger pinches to the soil (I read this was a way to add phosphorus)
I live near a lowes and that where i got most of my supplies which is where i bought the meter on the third pic because as of yet i have no idea what the ph is i just have to figure out how it works first
And i watered 3 days ago with 2 liter of tap water that i added the drops to remove the chlorine like for fish tanks
I know some basics
But i know i have tons to learn
She is on a 12-12 light cycle and she just woke up
Thank you for the help

So you think it over kill for the space ? I know its small but for now its what i have to work i also have some seedlings that im growing now that i plan on training so they stay short and i can optimize my space
But since i got this plant for some else im try to make it work as best as possible
Most of the plant is ziptied down to make her shorter

how much space are you working with? (Width x depth x height)

Im so confused so your running MG? @ What ratio did you mix to soil? Better yet what is the PH of your soil?
I recieve this plant as a mother some guy had been using for cloning its g13xblue dream
It came in the soil it is currently in and i made the mistake of not asking
As soon as i saw her my mouth started to water and i couldnt get home fast enough to put her in her new home so i didnt get much info and now im using jobes bone meal becuase its all i have and well i dont know what to get
And thanks for the help
Thats what the soil looks like that she is in

If possible I would recommend a small HID fixture (150-300w) as you could easily get/ make a reflector to utilize more of the light and even get a cooltube so venting is more efficient but cfls can do the job if budget is an issue (but think about the isea of 1 bulb vs 20-something and the investment may be easier to make)

Yea defintely want to upgrade but for now i have to stick with the cfls due to budget restrictions but ill keep that in mind 1 does sound way better than twenty thanks for the help

no problem always happy to help but basically its 4 square feet. You want about 40-60 watts of hid light per sq. ft with cfls 50-80 watts per sq. ft. (Depends how you position them, reflect them) High end of 80 watts per sq. ft would put you at 320w i wouldnt run more than that personally

Im back!!!

Thanks to DWC enthusiast for the advice i lowered my watts from 494 to 402
I have no reflector as of yet im trying to figure out how to jerry rig one so i thought maybe 402 watts would feel like 320 since a lot of the lights are not in optimal position for the plant to take full advantage of them
But I may be wrong?

I have been busy at work while i have been awhile i took as much as advice as i could to try and provide the best condition for my ladies to thrive

Let me know what you guys thinks
Thanks again to everyone for all the help
