From good to great

Whats up all, so I am able to consistently bring in what I consider A grade cannabis. Dense beautiful buds, nice crystal content, good nose but I am really looking to take my harvest from good to great. Im not interested in short cuts and know that there is no magic bullet, per se but am looking for details, tips...

It comes down to multiple variables...Your weed will be better the better you grow it... and the better u dry and cure it. Nothing is perfect* but this is what you must strive for in your growing environment.. perfect lighting, temperature, air circulation, humidity.. Nute schedule.. not too underfeed or over feed.. No stress... how ever slight it will affect your final product... also the dry and cure is soooo very important.. just the right balance of letting the moisture leave the buds.. but not too fast... dry it as slow as you can while avoiding mold/mildew issues...and of course Genetics... Understand even when growing cannabis cup winning strains... the strain that won that cup was a special specimen... they didint just grow one plant and say... "yup this is the one!" It took time.. and numbers searching for those wonder pheno and geno types... This is kind of a broad answer but as was the question... I believe it just comes down to time and experience...and continuing education... we ... well at least "I" never know enough and am constantly learning... Cheers dude best of luck!

there are so many ways to grow and so many things you can do depending on your circumstances, so the only thing i could say that would work across all forms of growing would be to find a strain you like and run with that for a couple of years to try and perfect it.

there is nothing wrong with being a one trick pony if your one trick is juggling whilst back flipping from a trapeze whilst making love to a beautiful woman whilst on fire in a vacuum. a show like that would never get old.

I have been growing the same strain (blueberry) for about a year now. "The Guy" I got the original clone from has been growing it for over 8 years. Our product was turning out almost identical, until one day I smoked an incredibly potent bud of his. I asked what he was doing differently, and he said he had switched his HPS to CMH. I switched one of mine out for the CMH and that crop outperformed the other in trike production, size of buds, earlier ripening time, and WOW the colors it brought out. I switched over my other lamps to CMH also and everything has just gotten better and better. The girls are consuming more nutrients than before is the only drawback. I am using GE CMH's and "the guy" is using Phillips. There is a side-by-side-by-side comparison of the Hortilux HPS, the GE CMH and the Phillips CMH on www.advancedlightingtech.com . I did not purchase my lamps from them, so don't think Im trying to sell you something here. Just reporting the facts. I honestly believe that this is what took my ladies from A to A+.

I have looked into CMH as well as the new plasma lights and the technology is stunning. Like having your own littlesun :-)

Yes, that would be ideal. I use 2700k CFLs for my side-lights to get a yellower spectrum. CMH-HPS-CMH would be perfect. It just wont fit in my tiny stealth setup. A red LED would supplement a CMH well. If you look at the chart you will see that the CMH has plenty of orange already, but more is better.
