I have been an avid herbalogists for many years, and I have had collegiate and highschool greenhouse experience... I have been doing many flourescent grows over the last 4 years. I was really getting to feel the vibe of the plant and I have had some good results,(considering usage of a small flourescent light), and some bad results(males). I have had some experience using bag weed and some clones that I stumbled across... I have finally decided to upgrade the closet, and move to a 400w hps light in a 3x3x9 grow space, I wil also have a small cloning/vegetative chamber. I have tried lst techniques on my last grow, and I feel like taking my bonsai experience towards the scrog technique. I am a very methodical person, and I have lingered on this site for quite some time, and I am very excited on starting this journal...

Now I just want to get whoever joins me on this experience filled in on the situation at hand. All the supplies I have right now are just the floro, and alot of hydro stuff... bubblers aerators, sonic foggers etc... Now again Im wanting to get the benefits of moving to hps lights to get a better yeild... Me and my girlfriend are the only ones that know of this operation, this is the best security any grower can have.... the closed mouth. Don't make a modern marvel of your closet, and show any pothead you want to impress ;) Now All I have done is ordered the fem. GreenHouse indica/sativa mix C comes with Big Bang, White Rhino, Super Silver Haze, Hawaiin Snow, Lemon Skunk, and a free DNA super lemon haze from the tude. I plan on cloning so I dont need a mass amount of seeds. Now For my first batch I want to do two different strains, since I will only get 1 seed for each strain. I plan on doing a SCROG to maximize yeild. My first concern is the different growing characteristics for each of these strains. I wanted to do a Big Bang White Rhino grow to get it started, but the white rhino is a bushy plant with big collas, while the big bang will stretch and have big collas, Is there any though on which would be the best two strains to start this grow with in a SCROG system?

I also plan on Growing in soil for the first grow, I want to use an organic soil/and fert combo. Ive been thinking of going FoxFarm all the way, but I have also noticed an organic brand cold Black Gold... any input is mucho bueno!

Wow things took a turn for a momment. funding had to be directed elsewhere... now I have the big bang and hawaiian snow in the soil. Big Bang has poked out and is struggling to get the seed off. ha ha. The hawaiin snow went in the soil today. I personally like to germinate by putting my seeds ontop of a paper towel and waiting for the root poking out to get about a quarter inch long then I put it in soil with a small layering on the top... I have my vegitative chamber set up with a 24 inch t5 light with 4 GE Starcoat bulbs 6500k intensity. I will deffinitely post some pics of the set up soon... Now I am using really basic organic soil right now from a local garden shop. when I transplant for training I will convert to FF soils, 50/50 of light warrior and seaforest. I had been planning on going with roots organics soil but illumination has convinced me to go with Fox Farm. I will then use Jacks classic for fertilizers.
