Mimosa Evo by Barneys Farm
Grow notes - Grows a lot of leaves that need defoliaiton. Not as bad as Green Crack. I've grown this a few times. A six week Veg got me the best yield of 13.7oz for the one plant pictured ITT. It has strong branches that don't need support even for big buds.
Smoke report - Orange, purple grape and pine taste. One pheno leans towards orange and the other purple. Both are tasty. Buzz is strong, but clear headed. Can get blazed up and still be able to get work done.
Will have no problem collecting these seeds because they will get used.

Grow notes - Easy to grow and finishes fast. Can be harvested as early as day 52 of bloom with 5% amber. Didn't need any leaf removal during growth. Easy to trim. Low effort plant. Grows about 4 feet tall.
Smoke report - Chocolate, coffee and earthy taste. Tastes good, but this strain hits fairly harsh. Big hits are chokers. Smaller hits are tolerable. The buzz is quite potent in both the indica and sativa realm. So you get a good body buzz and head buzz to match it. This weed makes me sleepy. I'm not a fan of sleepy weed. Overall this was pretty good weed that I won't grow again.

Next up is Lemon Drip by Exotic Genetics
Grow info - Moderate amount of defoliation and effort to grow. 10 weeks of bloom. About 3.5 feet tall. Grows a lot of medium sized buds that have nice bag appeal. Frosty and fairly exotic looking, but not super sexy.
Smoke report - Sour lemon, sugar cookie and sandalwood incense taste. The flavor on this one is STRONG. Maybe too strong. If I mix 25% of this with another strain, it's obvious Lemon Drip is in there. The buzz is 8/10 and leans toward the energetic sativa side. I will grow this again for sure.

Grow notes - Grows short for a sativa dominant hybrid. Only 3 feet or so. Grows viney. Tempting to cut those little vines, but they make a lot of nugs eventually. It took about 11 weeks of bloom. This would be great to SCROG. I just spread it apart. Grows some nice mains and a ton of solid popcorn buds that pack a punch. Yield was 9.7oz, but it looked like it was going to yield a lot less.
Smoke report - This one doesn't have fancy flavors. It pretty much just tastes like good old school weed. It's mostly herbal. Maybe with a little lemon. The smoke itself is nice and smooth. Easy to take monster hits that send you into outer space. The sativa buzz is the best part of this strain. Easily 9/10 in terms of potency. It's mentally stimulating. Makes music sound extra good. Will grow it again.

i have a couple questions do you find sunshine mix #4 usually has pests so you have to sterilize it? i usually run pro-mix same size bale also peat never had this issue with pests. also peat becomes more acidic over time do you track the ph of your medium throughout the grow and adjust its ph with a liming agent?

Yes, SS#4 can be very buggy sometimes. So I steam sterilize it before using. H2O2 can be used instead, but I don't like to have concentrated H202 around the house. Promix is more expensive. I'm frugal. So I go with SS#4. Both are packaged in 3.8 cu-ft size and are the same price but the SS#4 is compressed and contains a lot more material than uncompressed Promix.
I check the runoff of the media before putting seeds or plants in the media. I try to start with the media at 5.5-6.0 pH. That's normally where it is right out of the bag. Occasionally it's too low to start. Rather than use lime, I use potassium silicate to raise pH. The effect is more immediate. Lime takes a while to dissolve and the few times I've used it, my pH got too high evenutally.
I do track pH and runoff PPM once a month during the grow. It's normal for pH to gradually rise over the grow even when watering with 5.7pH feed. By the end of the grow, the pH is usually right at 7 without any deficiencies. I feed fairly aggressively, so I keep an eye on the ppm of the runoff. Flush down to 800ppm if the runoff gets above 2500ppm.

thats interesting that your ph rises throughout the grow rather than falling slowly, i find when im using peat after the lime in the promix is used up i find im adding lime to bring the ph back up i usually shoot for 6.0. how are you measuring the potassium silicate vs how much medium you need to adjust? anywho i really like your plants they look nice should drop by my grow journal i just grew some large trees in 10 gallon bags using peat turned out nice pulled about 1lb per plant

If your pH gets lower as the grow progresses, it's probably from bacterial acidification. Since I sterilize my peat, there is no acid producing bacteria. I add seven strains of myco after sterilizing. They don't produce much or any acid. My tap water has 60ppm bicarbonate that will gradually raise pH. Maybe you are using RO water with zero bicarbonate?
I don't have a reliable formula to share for adding potassium silicate to raise media pH because I don't have to do it often. 500ppm of potassium silicate soaked into the plantless media for 24 hours sounds like something I did once with success.
It sounds like incorporating a small amount of potassium silicate in your normal feed might help stabilize your falling pH. That is one reason why I don't use potassium silicate in the feed and use liquid bioavailable Silica instead.

Grow notes - Grows medium-short and thick. Doesn't need much LST. Average amount of leaf removal. Took 11-12 weeks to finish. Good yield of around 8oz for one plant. Bag appeal was better than average. Solid nugs with good color.
Smoke report - Hawaiian Fruit Punch terps and dank pine. Tasty stuff. A little woody. Has that 'old school weed' taste with modern fruityness. The buzz is not quite as potent as the others previously mentioned. It hits different. More mellow and stoney. Not really "crazy" as the name implies. It's an enjoyable buzz. 7/10 on intensity.

Smoke report - Lemon, lime, cookie, dank eucalyptus, fuel and a little burnt rubber. Hits smooth. Tastes nice. The buzz is outstanding. Very potent shit. Mess me up! Will grow the whole pack for sure.

Grow notes - Filled a 2x4 space. Plant was at least 5 feet tall. Required garden stakes for support. Took a long time to finish at 13.5 weeks of bloom. But it was worth it. Nice bag appeal with big colorful, frosty buds. Massive yielder. Harvested 16.3oz dried and cured from one plant !!!!
Smoke report - Smells like Dank Boo Berry cereal. Sour dark berry taste with some pine and black pepper. Tasty stuff! Hits smooth. The buzz is a 60/40 hybrid effect. Gets me very high like a good sativa, but it has a more relaxed and euphoric buzz with some mild indica effect. Very enjoyable. The kief from this stuff is dangerously potent and it produces a lot of it.

MERV13 fabric filters for all intakes. Highly recommended. Filters fine enough to block mold, but has good airflow when setup like this.
