Frozen Condensation

I have a 6'' Vortex fan cooling a 1000 watt HPS. I've noticed a bit of condensation on the ducting which blows outside air through the room and back outside. I went out early this morning and noticed it wasn't wet, but rather very frosty. The fan was even a little frosty too around the flanges. The room was 70 degrees, directly under the light was 75, and outside it was 5. I also have a very small heater that only kicks on when it's 60. Should I be worried?

i hope your filtering the air coming in the room, turn the fan off at night its not needed and waste power, better off with a small pedestal osillating fan in the room at night to move air around, fresh air is not need with lights off as the plants are not breathing, remember plants breathing co2 not air

My fan turns on with the lights, 12 on 12 off. But I also have a small oscillating fan which lightly runs all the time. Would a filter reduce condensation? I only put up a plastic screen on the inlet.

ok then i would suggest that you pull you cold air from inside the house rather then outside as you can pull in mold spores, pollen and dust and bugs with air pulled from outside that is not filtered, and would also solve your frosting issue whats happening is - as the temps drop outside the fan runs and adds a wind chill factor that is really high and causes the freezing of condensation

I'm not too worried about mold, pollen or dust because the air never touches my room. I'm afraid that if I suck inside air from outside the room it may not cool the light enough (and it can get hot). Also the air around the room is pretty stinky to blow outside. The inline fan is pretty heavy duty.

the air inside your home is cool enough to cool the lamp i run 2k with a 8" fan and recirculate the filtered air through my home for free heat and never experience heat issues during the summer time i unhook the exhaust vent and dump right in to my attic as it has a thermostat controlled attic vent that comes on at 90* and moves 2500cfm
