Anyone ever used FRP panels to build a room? Lighter and cheaper then sheetrock.. no mudding and taping sheet rock....anyone have negatives?

No ,you need sheetrixk with one coat mud under the frp..plus it's 2 dolla sq.ft way unacceptable

I just despise mudding and taping sheet rock so anything I can try to do to get out of that I'll try lol but I guess I just have to bite the bullet and do it right.

I used 1/4inch plywood walls covered with panda film for many years in 2 different room builds.
It didn’t have much insulation effect but it worked great otherwise.

White PVC Foam would work great. Thickness from 3mm to 25mm, and a matte white surface. Can take staples, screws, UV and chemical resistant, etc. Has a great insulation value due to the nature of the foam core. Might not be the cheapest product, but no painting, mudding, dual layers. Can be molded and/or bent. Also takes pvc cement for bonding to other pvc.

Do you need it to look pretty? Use some duct tape, or a bead of silicone.
