I was saying that per lumen CFLs put out more PAR compared to HPS. CFLs have a better spectrum but large HPS put out more lumen/w. If your lumen/w drops on the HPS to being equal to a CFL then the CFL is delivering more PAR to the plant. I don't believe I ever compared the spectrum of HPS vs HPS.
Hmmm lol well i was commenting on this line .. " I can't imagine a 25w or 50w HPS putting out many lumen/w. Most likely around the same as a CFL but in a less usable spectrum." which i must have mistook what you meant and took it as you were saying " a 25w or 50w hps delivers a less usable spectrum" and was just stating that all hps spectrums are the same no matter the wattage ..
I was assuming he was using little hps spotlights which in a small area are more effective then cfl's ..I don't think anyone is trying to bash the OP we're just wondering what the hell he's using... But I would have to argue that low wattage (>100w) HPS floods are not the best low wattage bulb you can get for flowering.
sorry for the confusion bro ...
