I know exactly what the concept of a tip is. You have no concept on how to read. I said a GOOD TIP is 20%.

You probably get great service and tip $5 on a $50 dollar bill. That is not a good tip.

Do you tip the employees at the fast food restaurant, the kid that works at the movie theater, the janitor that cleans your school? No I bet you don't. All your examples are not tipped employees, they make more than the minimum wage for tipped employees which is 2.13, they make at least 7.25.

Don't give that bullshit, I'm currently in school and working two jobs that I never get tipped for. I never bitch because society isn't in charge of me, I am my own person and shouldn't depend on tips. I don't go to parties, I work weekends and nights because I chose to make that sacrifice. Maybe you people should stop buying weed so you can help pay your bills. Oh and If you have enough time to bitch on the internet about not getting tips go get another job.

These people I listed below start out at $8.25/hr.
Emergency Room technicians, Medical Assistants, etc...
all start out minimum wage....but work their way up and get raises.
I'm not sure if waitresses get raises, but they sure as hell need
their tips.
Now I do however agree that if the service was crappy, they should
get a crappy tip, if even one at all. But I've hardly ever had a bad
waitress or waiter....I always tip....
Now the fucking Cheesecake factory....I hate how they automatically
bill you the 20% "gratuity".
If my waiter sucks, why should I be automatically billed the
"gratuity"?

I've never been a waitress.
I just frequently dined out at the
Cheesecake Factory near Yonkers, NY
when I was up visiting family.
I look at the bill and I'm already charged the 20% gratuity.
I've had better waitresses at Mom n Pop restaurants.

um, surely if you're a waitress/waiter and you don't get paid minimum wage like the mcdonalds kid, then that's oyur fault for picking a workplace that will pay you an illegal rate. not our fault you chose to work there? i know if i aplied for a waiting job and they told me that i would not be paid minimum wage, then i wouldn't work there, simple as that.

And why the hell should I have to go to a grocery store cook my food and serve myself, just because I can't afford a tip. Last time I checked. There is no law that requires me to tip.
It doesn't say it on the menu.
And yes I do work on my own car because labor prices to fix cars is outrageous.
And as far as taking money from the server you gotta be kidding.
I guess people that live off of disability like myself can never enjoy a dining experience because of statements like that.
This whole business of tipping is way out of hand.
It is an unwritten rule, meaning up to the one paying for the service.
I agree with others who have said if your job does not pay enough then go find one that does.
With today's recession, everyone is struggling. Prices keep rising, Jobs are harder to find.

It seems a lot of people say "oh they get paid already" "its their job already" or the classic "its not my fault they took that job"
These are all just excuses to be a cheap asshole. Its not the server/delivery guy's fault the owners are squeezing the bottom line. Its been long since set up in our society that servers are tipped employees and therefore get paid very little from the restaurant. It doesn't matter what some pink asshole in a movie says, movie characters say pre written lines that sound cool.
The truth is, when you stiff a waiter/deliverer, that person loses money, regardless of how you twist the situation around in your head.
Now put yourself in their shoes. We have established that a tipped employees earnings come from the customer, not the restaurant, (regardless of how you twist it, thats the way it is. In reality) Now imagine you just came in to work, and did your job. and some idiot says "you did a good job, but im not going to pay you. sorry, i just dont think you deserve it"
They don't say this, but we know. Now the question, DO YOU REMEMBER THIS PERSON? IF YOU SEE THEY ORDER AGAIN, WHAT DO YOU DO?
I don't spit in customers food, thats traceable and noticeable.
What i have done to people before:
keyed cars
ripped down decorations
spit on cars
bring really cold food (my manager will tell them that he doesnt believe that its cold. we will laugh about it later)
rub my hands on my balls then on your food.
same with my ass crack.
pee on the food
eggs on house and cars
and im sure other stuff i can't recall at the moment.
Another question for you non-tippers? HOW MANY OF YOU ARE UNDER 20 YEARS OLD? HOW MANY OF YOU ARE BLACK OR ASIAN? Just curious.

Unless they are a douchebag. I've had drivers bitch at me because my house is hard to find. The fuckin address is on the mailbox asshole. get a pair of glasses or a flashlight. That asshole gets wait while I get my money. Then I sit down and wait for a commercial. Then I give him no tip.

I remember a co worker doing a pie chart for a class where he kept track for a month. The worst were black females, followed by black females, followed by indian females, followed by indian males. I have found that to be very true.
You wish you would catch me, but you wont. I know how to be subtle. And if you did, would/could you draw faster than me? "officer, this black guy came at me with a gun and started yelling angrily. I think he wanted to rob me, thats why i had to shoot him" Not a violent person, but if you came at me with a gun, i'd have no choice.

You start off your post in a rational way, but fail to follow up on any of the points you're trying to make. Something about a movie, then you kinda trail off into a list of really unkind things you do.
I'm generally a peaceful person, but if I ever catch someone doing any of the things you mention, I wouldn't hesitate to slap the lving shit out of them.

If you don't like what you're getting paid, its on you, and only you, to elevate yourself. If you fail to do so, you have noone to blame but yourself.
