i hadnt smoked when i put that, and it was harsh, and i apologize for indirectly insulting anyone that felt insulted. I'm really just more disappointed than anything because i really wanted to try hydro, but couldnt get help after tryint numerous times.



and for the record, i own multiple books and movies on marijuana growing, have searched and searched everywhere i could for answers. found all the information and absorbed all i could,

THEN.... I POSTED ON THIS SITE TO GET A DIRECT RESPONSE ABOUT MY PLANTS SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE A BOOK OR MOVIE CANNOT DO THIS.

only to get zilch for a response. so i'm sorry to everyone


Laserbrn. they are not starved, thats simply impossible. they were fed correctly but could not absorb the nutrients idk why. and yes. i was just venting alot of steam because i have four beautiful plants in soil but 2 that were in hydro (now in soil) that made me wanna cry. i have to say fuck hydro because
1. i will not kill a plant
2. i couldnt find what was wrong with mine online
3. i have no direction. you dont even understand how much research ive done into hydroponics, only to fail miserably at the actual performance

so sorry people i insulted, except jordisgarden.

I know it was the ph. I figured that out on my own eventually but maybe if this place wasn't a fucking ghosttown and someone would have started talking to me i could have had someone to ask shit but i dont have anyone to ask shit. I have done research for over a year on hydroponics i just dont know how the application works. you dont know how much i have read so please dont tell me.


and yeah. i was a dick because i couldnt get help because i thought thats what this fucking section was for. but apparently rollitup is only here for people to discuss stupid shit and accomplish dick.

You did research for over a year on hydro and you couldn't figure out to check your pH? I'd sooner believe someone pulling 16 elbows off of a few 400HPS then that.

Here's a quickie for ya - in hydro, check rez temp, pH, and then your EC - that's really about it.

Anyways, sayonara, you'll be missed.

lol let it go man, i've only made 5 threads since becoming a member 3 had no reply and 1 only had 1 reply. my experience of rui is only newbies are looking at the newbie central, plant problems ect. all the experience growers are in tokentalk etc. and once the few newbies who actually stay and become experts they slowly migrate to tokentalk.

Honestly, you should've asked your question in the hydroponics grow forum. I know that you had plant problems and so you posted there, but a high percentage of people here grow in soil. The hydro growers that would've been able to help you would be less likely to see your post in the general "problems" forum because it'll get lost in the shuffle during the time one of the much smaller percentage of knowledgeable hydroponics growers could've helped you.

I never said your plant wasn't being fed, I said it was starved. Obviously you've figured it out now after the fact that it was a lockout, but a little time around here and understanding of how things worked would have gone a long way.

And although it's a waste of time to keep calling Jordis out, there's really nothing else to do and he DID feel the need to lie to a bunch of strangers on the internet...haha....lying bitch.

To the OP - If you're going to continue your crying and blaming RIU for your problem, then you probably shouldn't be growing. I fully understand where you're coming from with not getting replies, I've been there (and I'm sure many others have as well). But do I cry about it and ultimately decide to make a "Fuck RIU, u guys all suck balls" thread? No.

Everybody in here needs to smoke a joint real quick and just relax. Reading some of the replies in here disgusts me. I would help ya out man but I don't know anything about hydro. My best advice would be to start with soil and then work your way into hydro.

Best of luck to you and every1 else in here...I hope someday this site will chill out some..:joint::peace:

i did. my res temps were a steady 73 and 75 degrees.( one was closer to the bulb side of the light, i used mini water bottles with ice in them to keep the temps down)

ph wouldnt stay stable i couldnt get it to and this was my problem. i would put the plants in at 5.2 ph and overnight they would jump to over 7.4 and i would drop them back down to 5 and the next day back up to 7.4 sometimes it would raise up to 7 in under 6 hours.

ppm were right at 650.

What system were you growing in?

The only thing that I know of that raises pH that drastically in that short of a time is a fungus/algae in your reservoir - that'll make your pH shoot up super quick.

Yes, I do realize the irony of diagnosing your problem when it's already a moot point, but I'm curious now.

Did your reservoir have that "aquarium smell" to it? Did you ever try any H2O2 or anything of that nature?

I was growing in DWC. I dont think i had any algae, no light could get in whatsoever, not even through the hydroton as i had that covered.

i did not try h202 as i couldnt find how much to add. and dont have any. i never noticed any "aquarium smell" and didnt see anything growing inside the res.

what were you using lemon juice or vinegar or something? there is no reason for that much ph swing if you were using the proper things.

Even though I thought my bubblers were totally light-proof, they weren't - that being said, I'm gonna diagnose you as having had algae in there, which could've been remedied with a $2 bottle of H2O2 (3% would work fine, I use 35%) added to your reservoir.

Live and learn.
