Dude I wanna visit New Zealand so bad. Looks beautiful, minimum wage is $13.50 (not that I plan on having no aspirations), the environment is so much more clean and pure, and I think the weed penalties are even less harsh than America. Plus the population is only like 4 million so it's not crowded and they don't have a corrupt government.
I think one of the half's has consistent rainy/cloudy weather as well, just my favorite!

Make sure it's just a visit then because it is tough getting a job, and it is an expensive place to live so you won't be getting
much money left to go spending. We don't have a corrupt government but we do live in a nanny state where the government
is forcing the liquor industry to lower the strength in read to drink beverages from 8% to 6%. All i'm saying is, if you wealthy
New Zealand is the place to live, but if you're an everyday person just move to another state. I'm actually moving up to
Canada in the future because there is no future here.
With weed you're usually given a written warning for the first time and you'll probably get home detention if you're caught growing.

I mean it's probably harder to get a job in the USA than it is in New Zealand, given the shitty economy. I'm sure there are nice small apartments that 1-2 people could live in for a reasonable price, especially since not only is the minimum wage almost double America's ($13.50), but the currency they use is also worth more than the dollar. In NZ, do most apartments not allow dogs? If that's you're minimum wage, do you pay higher for real professions as well?

I live in a 4 bedroom place in a rural area 2 mins from town and i pay $120 p/w i have goats, dogs and a pet possum no problems. Most places are negotiable with dogs, small dogs are usually ok.
Our dollar isnt worth as much as a usd and the minimum wage lets you just scrape by with a 40 hour week with the price of food etc, so you get the downs with the ups of course.
Yes you can earn a high pay if you are in the right job but its still hard to get those jobs even if you are qualified and experienced.
But NZ is still paradise in my eyes, the bush, sea, people, ganja etc etc etc will most likely never make me want to leave for more than a holiday
Even when you do the math, it's definitely a benefit making almost double the minimum wage. The NZD is worth .82 for every USD. Say you work 40 hours per week making $7.25 and $13.50.

your math is good lol but it is expensive to live here and ya dont get much savings on min wage.
Depends on which city as to prices but you are looking at maybe $100-350 per week depending on how far in the city and the state of the apartment/flat.
I live mid west of our north island and it is a nice place, mountain and ocean within an hour drive of each other! winters are wet and cold but no snow. I have lived in our far north and it is a great part of the country and much warmer climate. South island gets cold in winter but is beautiful and rugged (north island is too but not like the south). Dont know what foreign bugs you mean but we get the same pests and insects as most places i guess.

Is that how they do it in New Zealand, per week? Well I know that some parts of NZ is kinda like a jungle and it's an island so it's bound to have unique, creepy bugs that you wouldn't see anywhere around where I live haha. I'd want to live right outside the city, so nice and not as crowded but still close enough if I need/want to go there. I think it'd be fun to go down there for a bit, get an easy job and just chill for a while. Shouldn't be hard to find bud considering NZ was like 2nd to the US in percentage of pot smokers lol.

haha i think we would be higher percentage than the USA we only have a few million people and if they told the truth most of them smoke lol.
We have the creepiest and weirdest bugs and birds but not really any more plant destroying ones than anywhere else. Possums and goats are the worst for growers and they arent native.

Kakapo are amazing (not that ive seen one) there are only a very small number left on earth tho so sadly we dont see them and they will most likely be extinct soon.
