Fuck vet bills. I hope doggy insurance is worth it. I'll find out soon enough.
Edit: I still owe 4k from about 6 months ago or a bit longer when my Golden got cancer.
They do all this shit and then say his liver is failing 2 days later. I got raped on the bill. 8K.
FUCK ME.

I would have a serious problem with that. They didn't give you an estimate beforehand?

my last dog developed a huge tumor..it cost about 500 to have removed. THe vet was totally up front and told me it very likely would grow back...which it did. It gained me an extra year with my best buddy though..so well worth it.

I've spent so much money on vet bills, meds, surgeries over the years on those fucking dogs. But, what the fuck are you gonna due?

well, I had him put down when the tumor grew back and his skin split open...poor fucker :(

I love my animals very much but there is no way i'd spend that kind of money on em.

put him down and go and get another..sad but true

Let me start by saying that dog was my girlfriend's dog and meant everything to her. You know how it is for some of us, our dogs are like our kids to us. So, the estimate we got was around 5k. He stopped eating for about a week and when we took him in they said cancer but they don't know how bad. So after a bunch of tests and procedures and almost week stay in the hospital they call us and tell us that his liver is failing and that nothing else can be done. What stinks is that they gave him chemo and then all of a sudden his liver fails? That emergency vet hospital was recommended to us by our vet after his blood work came back bad. After the stay and chemo and the liver failure procedures to keep him alive so we could come get him and take him home to put him down the bill was 8k. The whole thing was fucked. Believe me, I had some words with the doctora there but at the end of the day, that's what the bill was and i pay my debts.

I hear you...still owe 2.3K from 6 mo when my red heeler died of marrow cancer
