In keeping with this commitment, and in full cooperation with Health Canada, Mettrum is extending its voluntary withdrawal of medical cannabis to include products that have been found to contain the substance. As a precautionary measure, Mettrum is also expanding the recall to include all products sold between January 1, 2016 and March 21, 2016. This is an extension to the process defined by Health Canada as a Type III recall: a situation in which the use of, or exposure to, a product is not likely to cause any adverse health consequences.

Health Canada currently approves seven pesticides for use on medical cannabis:

• MilStop Foliar Fungicide
• Actinovate SP Fungicide
• Opal Insecticidal Soap
• Neudosan Commercial
• Kopa Insecticidal Soap
• Rootshield HC Biological Fungicide Wettable Powder
• Rootshield WP Biological Fungicide

These pesticides and fungicides have been approved and designed for edible consumption. There has been no testing done on the presence of these chemicals when the product they are applied to is ignited or inhaled, as cannabis is frequently used.

Along with 15 per cent “other ingredients,” MilStop Foliar Fungicide lists its main ingredient (85 per cent) as the chemical potassium bicarbonate.

Potassium bicarbonate is dangerous when heated and inhaled and can cause serious side effects such as confusion, uneven heartbeat, severe stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea and anxiety.

Kopa insecticidal soap is 47 per cent potassium salts of fatty acids, a substance scientists note “cause reproductive and developmental effects when administered to laboratory animals at high doses.”

Bullshit. You do not need to get sick from it to sue. No one knows what the long term effects of inhaling these chemicals are. LP's are selling a product that they claim is produced under clinical conditions and is the ONLY SAFE SOURCE OF CANNABIS. Clearly they are lying. It really don't matter what was in my cannabis before...none of my black market dealers claimed their product was organic, chemical free or pharmaceutical quality...and they charged a lot less. I also don't care about how many food products are recalled...totally irrelevant. With uncertainty of what the effects of using tainted meds could be puts added stress on a already compromised body and is grounds for compensation. Ditto for food and many other products.
There will be a class action initiated within the next month or so by one of those lawyers you say won't do anything.

Who gives a flying fuck if he didn't get sick or what the grey market is doing. This is a licensed ACMPR company that has sprayed Nova on their crop knowing its not a registered ACMPR pesticide. They broke the ACMPR laws by using a pesticide that if you sold and got caught selling it you'd end up in court with 1000's in fines or jail time. If they didn't know that an employee sprayed it then their security model is broken and their security clearance should be revoked as they can't be trusted with the safety of a medical grade crop or the sites security.

Yeah this is total BS. I sure hope the injunction lawyers are on this......This is why all Dr's that try to force me to buy cannabis from anyone can go fuck themselves.

Is the common theme Greenhouse Cannabis????????? If so then I would sign up with an LP that grows indoors. That is a start at least. It is safe to say not one LP has mastered growing in a greenhouse. The problem is HC made the growers to big right out of the gate, this set them up so that they can not fail or else it is big trouble for investors. They should of had a bunch of smaller growers, then let the bi guys buy out the small grows once they get it mastered.

Anyways this is a total shit show, I am just glad my Dr is a good guy who understands what I am going through. If things keep going the way they are in the states Cannabis might not much matter because we will all be poisoned by the nuclear winter that falls on the earth.
